I just used tesco own brand. Got a pos + with it so they are fine and alot cheaper than clearblue. Tesco own = £4.99.

Good luck.

Nbg · 06/02/2006 14:07

I used Predictor but the clearblue digital ones seem to be the best.

Pricy though. You can get them at a chemist for £11 for a pack of 2.

trace2 · 06/02/2006 14:09

the one nere you ngb, because its nearer to me than going to town or teso

Nbg · 06/02/2006 14:11

Yeah the one at the top of the village next to the wine shop, pizza place etc.

They do a 2 pack of predictor too a bit cheaper.

trace2 · 06/02/2006 14:11

tescos or boots own for value for money but used a digi clearblue with dd and was great to have a clear pregnant even when predictor told me i wasnt

Nbg · 06/02/2006 14:13

It could take up to 2 weeks before you can get a postive.

Like you were saying to me the other day, it depends how much HCG is in your body atm

The first test I did was very very faint. Had to hold it uo to the light to see it. Did one 3 days later and it wasn't much better.

Nbg · 06/02/2006 14:14

and while I've got you.

Has cuffy had that kid yet?

trace2 · 06/02/2006 14:15

OP posts:
Nbg · 06/02/2006 14:18

Yeah.

Alibo is coming too but she said she might be late as ds has been night waking so he could be napping at 1ish but said to hang on if she's a bit late.
I'll see her at playgroup tomorrow anyway.

You have to test now. Don't leave us waiting!!!

trace2 · 06/02/2006 14:21

Too big!!!

Look like I did at 6 months with dd. It's daft. You'll see on Thursday when I'll be sporting my lovely maternity wear.

i used a first response, thought i was due on on the sunday and got bfp on friday. it turns out i'm about 4 days behind on dates so got a bfp almost a week early! also i used a first morning sample which i collected and didn't drink much the night before to have extra strong wee wee! good luck with the test.

trace2 · 07/02/2006 08:21

Trace - I had 2 negative tests before having a positive. I originally used Clearblue Digital as I thought it would be clearer than 'is that a line or not?' they were both negative. A few days later, used a line one and was positive - so negative doesn't necessarily mean that you'r not pregnant.

I am 9 days overdue, and Cuffy is still waiting as well - just posted on the Feb 06 thread.

trace2 · 07/02/2006 08:50

thanks hotmama , but just feel so tearfull, i used Clearblue Digital this morning, am on day 32 now, where i am always a 25 6 days,

yes i know i watch your thread every day, cuffy is my best mate, good luck to you both, i hope you get your babys in arms soon, cuffy having a sweep today

OP posts:
hotmama · 07/02/2006 08:54

Trace - it could be that you ovulated late. I have a standard 28/29 day cycle ovulating at day 13/14 - but I obviously must have ovulated about day 17 hence I am on the due in Feb 06 thread - not exactly planned as dd is only 16 months.

trace2 · 07/02/2006 09:02

but ive no sore boobs or any other signs that i am , only very tearfull, and really angry

OP posts:
hotmama · 07/02/2006 09:09

Trace2 - if it helps to know - I didn't have sore boobs, feel sick, need to go to the loo or all the other traditonal pregnancy chestnuts. Just give it a while - it could be just that the pregnancy hormones need to build up a bit - this is what I put my 2 negative tests down to. HTH
