Hi there,

Can anyone tell me if pre seed is okay? I don't want to use anything that will hinder my chances of conceiving.

Also what are the best ovulation sticks to use?

Finally can anyone recommend the best early pregnant tests?

Thanks!

Pre seed is designed to help conception.

Best early pg tests, from my (limited) research, appear to be first response.

best ovulation sticks to use are cheap ones as you get through loads of them! I found the cheapy ones from amazon worked fine for me.

Pre-seed is designed not to hinder conception. it doesn't make you more fertile, but it's one of the only lubes that doesn't make things too gooey and sticky down there (i.e. making it difficult for sperm to swim through) and also i think it doesn't change the pH (because a change in pH can kill sperm).

Ovulation sticks, yes i agree with minipie just get the cheapies off amazon or similar.

Early pregnancy tests... I wouldn't bother with them. Get normal cheapie ones too. I had a faint positive at 11DPO with a cheapie. I've heard the more expensive early tests have more frequent false negatives

(btw... we didn't use preseed because it was sold out everywhere at the time we started ttc. we used guaifenesin cough syrup [no other active ingreds, only guaifenesin] instead to thin cervical mucus. 3 x a day during ov period. used ov sticks. pregnant in one month)

Preseed is ideal if you normally need to use lube. Other lubricants such as KY are not so good for sperm. If you don't need lube because you have enough of your own then don't waste your money on it.

Ovulation sticks - get the cheap ones online. The others are ridiculously expensive.

Preg tests - get the cheap ones online, order the 10miu sensitivity. Don't bother testing before 11dpo. If you get a faint line on a cheapie, then crack out a Superdrug or a First Response, but don't waste money on spendy tests that are going to be negative. A BFN is bad enough without spending a tenner to get it!

Places to get online tests are Amazon, Ebay or the Home Health website. They are very cheap if you buy them in bulk.
