If you were having a implantation bleed would you get a positive pregnancy test?

I think it would probably be too early for you to get a positive test, unless you were already around the time of your missed period when you had the bleed.

the usual guidelines are to wait until you are late for your af before testing, there are some that you can do just before but its usually recommended to wait to the af date or after

Very unlikely. You only start producing hcg after implantation (levels then double roughly every 48 hours), so if bleed is because implantation is happening now, then there wouldn't be any there to detect yet.
