i'm on the second month of clomid, just about to start the last month but was just wondering if anyone else has terrible mood swings on it. I'm not only like it for the 5 days i take it, it seems to go on the whole month on and off like really really terrible p.m.t. The way i've been treating my other half some days is awful and i turn from being really happy to a complete monster!! He just walks away til i've calmed down. The minute he starts hiding all the knives i know i have a problem Shock.
Also i love my job but just lately since being on clomid i'm not happy with that either....please someone tell me its normal. As much as i want this to work i think i'm quite happy it's the last month now. i've had a total personality transplant!!!

Hi blondebaby

I've only just joined mn but saw your message a few days ago. I am also on my second Clomid cycle and I'm also having scary mood swings. Extreme PMT is exactly how I would describe it. It's also wiping out my energy, maybe because I'm having really vivid dreams and waking up feeling exhausted. I don't know if that's down to clomid too but it's not normal for me. I thought the side effects would just last for the five days but like you mine have gone on all month. My poor DP doesn't know what to do, he's tiptoeing round me as if I might blow a fuse at any moment. Last month I spent a fair amount of time alternately picking meaningless fights or crying. He has been stoic in fulfilling his duties as my mentalling hardly helps put us in the mood for swi!

Do you think the dissatisfaction with work could just be a side effect of the mood swings? I've had absolutely zero concentration and just feel as though I want to go back to bed. I am lucky in that I work from home so I can hide the worst of it and make up the time when I feel a bit better, but it's pretty horrible.

Is this your last clomid cycle? I've got one more if this doesn't work. My first cycle was a tracked one so i know I ov'd and we got the timing spot on but still no bfp. Fingers crossed for both of us this time...
