Started my first month of clomid this week and the afternoon after I took the first one I bled soooo much to the point I ended up with blood on my trousers Blush

Is this typical?

hmm not sure if it is or not but I would have thought it was not enough time for it to have had such an effect if it was only taken in the morning. if it carries on maybe call the GP/ fertility clinic

No, that should not have happened at all.

Would seek medical advice asap.

BTW who prescribed the clomid?. You should be monitored closely whilst on it as it is not suitable for everyone to take. Clomid's main job is to make the ovaries work harder.

Clomid works to make your body think that you are low on oestrogen, so that your body works to produce more and mature follicles. It shouldn't affect flow - that should be just getting rid of the womb lining from the cycle BEFORE you started taking the clomid. So a call to your clinic seems to be in order.

I end up bleeding on my clothes most periods, however careful I am, because they are just heavy. But if this is abnormal for you then you should talk to a dr.

Thanks all. It's not normal for me at all, I'm normally fairly light but it only happened on day 2 and the rest was fine so I'm going to see what happens next month
Attila - was prescribed by my consultant after having had scans and blood tests etc
