Cheapy OPKs, what counts as a positive?

Using the ones from Wilks so they're not that great. But if you have a line that's pretty much the same as the control, and much more positive looking than anything else you've had all month, is that your positive? Also the left hand side of the line is dark but the rest of it is fair to middling, iykwim....

thought we had missed the boat as I didn't get anything since CD7, and then I got this yesterday. Which means we're kind of right in the boat Blush well that was a bit of an oops.

yes - I would count that as a positive and also test tomorrow

Flightty · 29/03/2012 13:43

thanks, Ok, well at least I know! That was my last couple of tests (both positive then, yesterday at 11am and 4pm) and ds is ill so can't go to get any more anywhere, they're all the ££ ones everywhere we can drive to! I can't do one today, sadly.

So will go with day 14. Which considering my cycle last month was 23 days, was unexpected!

Thankyou...

Get them online! I have got loads of OPKs and HPTs from there on amazon and they are great - very cheap

Thankyou, that is really great Smile It might be too late for this cycle (and also for next 9 months, ahem) but if I come on next time I'll order some to arrive in time. Keep wasting money on the shop ones!

I use the clearblue digis. £12 for 7 from amazon. Much easier than trying to decipher lines!

I used cheapy ones and tbh any line I had I took as a positive. I used to get a faint one the evening of day 13, then a strong one the next day. Outside that there was nothing at all, so to me, a line is a line...

i get the cheap thin stick ones from amazon, it is hard for me to get an official positive, some people don't seem to have the peak surge for long so its easy to miss unless testing twice a day and i cant be bothered with that. However I count a positive as a much darker line than the day before, i then test the day after to double check and if its got lighter I know that was it.

thanks ever so much, guys.

I think I'm on the point of deciding to stick to temps, as, well you do jump around, well I seem to anyway but that's disturbed sleep I think - but when I look at my chart I can see that actually it could potentially be quite useful and clear. Only in hindsight but testing from day 7 onwards is a bit daft, my cycles seem to be totally mental at the moment Smile so I never know when ov is likely to happen.

Thanks again, will get some cheapies if this cycle is a bust.
