Implantation Cramps: Same Old, Same Old...

I'm sure people have rambled about this many times in the past, but for the life of me, I can't find any with answers I'm looking for (though to be honest, I haven't looked very hard!)

Synopsis: DTD last week (14 & 15th), yesterday (22nd) had cramps in lower right side (using a picture of the human anatomy, I guessed it to be around my ovary/FT area), intense cramping but not so painful I can't function (though getting off the sofa took a while longer!). Today cramping has subsided for the most part. Nipples have been agonising for around three days. Normally never hurt, at all, ever.

I don't remember much of anything from around the time when DS was conceived. But I've done a lot of internetting, and what I've read has led me to two possible conclusions: Implantaion, or ectopic pregnancy.

Can anyone help give advice/opinions on what they think is the most likely? My GP is closed on weekends so if I should go see him, I won't be able to until Monday at the very earliest.

Hi moddedmummy I saw your post and didn't want it to go unanswered, though TBH I will probably be as much help to you as the dreaded Google!

Just wanted to say that since I have been TTC I have noticed all manner of aches and cramps that I have over the months attributed to implantation, ectopic, immaculate conceptions and they haven't amounted to anything - sinister or otherwise! When I read your post I did wonder whether you had ovulated later than you thought because I get quite intense cramps/pinching for around a day on one side (Most times worse when walking or getting off the couch!) that I can definitely attribute to ovulation. I also get very sore boobs (well one boob!) immediately after ovulation that can also include burning nipples. TMI!

I'm not saying that you should ignore your pains, and obviously if you continue to have reason to suspect an ectopic do go to the doctor ASAP but I just wanted to try and reassure you a little.

Thanks for replying! I thought it might be too early to be attributed to an ectopic, but I've read so many things that say it's different things, and thank god I'm not a hypochondriac because the amount I've read would lead me to believe I have cancer! :P

I thought it might be ovulation later than I had thought, but I'm almost sure that I was the week before. Maybe it just lasted longer than I thought...
I'll just put it down to god-knows-what for now, see what doc says tomorrow and continue my attempts :)
