Mini pill

Am presently taking the mini pill. How long is the window each day for taking it. I know you are supposed to take it at the same time every day but don't always manage to. As we have three kids and a rocky relationship at the moment, there is probably not much chance of a surprise at the moment but want to be sure. I thought the mini pill was pretty safe but have heard of people getting pregnant on it recently....let me know of your experiences with it.....thanks!

There is newer progesterone only pill available called cerazette which has a 12 hour window & is virtually as effective as the combined pill - I'd ask your GP for it as people can fall pregnant on the mini-pill.

I'm on Cerazette and much prefer it to Micronor. Don't seem to be as many side effects although I can't quite put my finger on why I feel better on this than on Micronor.

And yes - there is a 12 hour window although it's obviously better if you take it at the same time every day out of habit.
