Hi all, me and dh want to start ttc again. we have one dd wos nearly 3 so we thougt it would be a nice age gap. we didn't try for dd i was on the pill but was sick for ages and niave me didnt realise the throwing up would result in te pill not working. anyway the point is that im really confused wen it comes to all these ovulation dates and cycles.

I am just putting my last few dates here and was hoping some one could help me work out te best time..please.

The first day of my period in jan was the 16th. feb was the 17th. and this month it was the 22nd. (really tought we were pg tis month but ..Sad)

Last few months of last year period tends to be 16th or 17th.

any help would be muh apreciated. thanks.

Then your last 2 cycles have been 32 and 34 days. If your Luteal phase is normal 10-16 days then you might ovulate anywhere from day 16-24. But it could be different if you have a short or long cycle, if you're unwell or stressed etc.

Best way forward is to dtd every other day from when your period ends throughout your cycle. There is lots of helpful info on the mumsnet trying for a baby pages and there is an ovulation calendar too.

Good luck

My consultant seems convinced that whatever the OPK sticks say, you ovulate 14 days before your period arrives

No it depends how long your luteal phase is, mine is 16 days long. Generally I ovulate on day 16 and AF will arrive 16 days later on day 32. My ovulate day can vary but my luteal phase is always 16 days! Your luteal phase can be anything from 10 days-16 days. Hope that helps xxx :)
