EsmeGreen · 14/04/2012 09:15

Morning. Room for another? (I'm afraid I havent read all these posts yet) I'm ttc #1, been trying for a couple of months half heartedly and now properly ( I had to have a fibroid op last Christmas so thought I shouldn't push it too soon).

I'd like to add that I AM a Xmas baby and I love it. There's parties and decorations and school is more relaxed on the run up. So let's all go for it.

Flightty · 14/04/2012 09:47

Welcome Esme! Smile when are you testing?

Just wanted to say Spring that I hope it holds off for you...would be amazing if you got a BFP. Fx

LimeLeafLizard · 14/04/2012 09:55

Welcome Esme!

Sorry to hear that you got the bfn Spring*, hope it just means you tested too early. 28 days is good news, isn't it?

Hey MummyNick sorry AF is with you. I agree with what Crazy said about the pressure of having to dtd. Fx you get pregnant soon so the pressure will be off him for a while.

SpringFlowers · 14/04/2012 19:06

Have just polished off a very nice glass of Peter Lehman Shiraz. Period started this afternoon. Feel very sad this evening. Roll on cycle two...looks like we're doing it all over again. Thanks everyone for being so supportive. It seems that January babies are all the rage Smile

LimeLeafLizard · 14/04/2012 20:19

Oh Spring, sorry to hear that, after it was sounding so hopeful, too. But glad to have you around a while longer Smile.

lastboxoftampons · 14/04/2012 20:33

Spring so sorry Sad But, yes, Jan babies are clearly the best Smile

Hello Esme

Mummynickleby Sad sorry about AF. Hoping your DH is feeling better soon. It's a blow when it happens normally, nevermind when you're TTCing and the pressure's on. Maybe a few non-babymaking sessions are just what the doctor's ordered!

Empire sorry AF got you too Sad Just picked up my thermometer from the post depot this morning - they tried to deliver it yesterday.

Lime Thanks so much for your words of encouragement about DS - he'll be 3 end of July. He was much sweeter today and even shared a car with another little boy. We went to the circus this afternoon and just now when I was putting him to bed, he came out with this gem "Mommy, when a clown farts, that makes you happy." Indeed....Grin

Treats any news? Hmm GrinWink

Flightty · 14/04/2012 20:36

I'm sorry Spring, hope next month is the one for you xx

Flightty · 14/04/2012 20:37

Fwiw if it makes anyone feel even remotely better, I just got my bunch of 50 HPTs from Amazon! Gahhhhhhhh Smile They are laughing at me!

LimeLeafLizard · 14/04/2012 21:21

Lastbox glad your DS was better today. Grin @ 'when a clown farts...'!!
I used to love the circus when I was a child. They still had animals in those days . I am a bit scared of clowns though.

Flightty 50?!?! Wink

Pipbin · 14/04/2012 22:42

So ladies. Can someone have a gander at my chart and say what they think might be going on? chart here

I normally OV about day 20 - 22 but it seems to have been early this month. Anyone what to suggest when I have / am going to OV? Yesterday I had stacks of EWCM, today - nothing.

lastboxoftampons · 14/04/2012 23:13

Hi Pip - have just had a look...your temps are a bit Hmm but going by the +OPK and the EWCM I would think you ov'd today... Is that what you're thinking?

Pipbin · 14/04/2012 23:20

I'm thinking today too. Temps are up in the air because I didn't take the thermometer on holiday with me. So odd that I'm oving 4/5 days early.
In the past I've OV two days after the +opk according to my temps.
Can I give the poor old DH the night off. He managed to DTD last night even though he'd been in bed sick most of the day (It was 2am, that's why it's gone down as an AM today.

Flightty · 15/04/2012 07:48

Lime Grin It's 50 everything round here!

Pippers, I've had a look and I'm also thinking maybe yesterday...what are your temps normally like after ov? They're so much lower than mine all round, are you temping orally? What was it this am?

I'm starting to have a hate/love relationship with the thermometer. It's a pain because you can't use it several times a day, wouldn't that be wonderful, if it told you exactly what was happening in there...one day they'll invent something that tells you exactly when you're ovulating, whether you're implanting or not, etc etc.

Anyway, another 9 days before we need to have sex again... DP said he is going to put the 24th on his phone calendar, he's considering himself booked for that night Grin but I bet he has to go away for work again!

LimeLeafLizard · 15/04/2012 10:28

Flightty I have just made my DH put 24th in his calendar, too!!

Pipbin · 15/04/2012 11:52

Well heaven alone knows what is happening now.

I woke up in the night sweating, usually a sure sign that I am OVing. Then I woke up again and thought, 'ah, need to temp' but couldn't find my thermometer. When I did find it then my temp was as low as a pre o day. Then I realised it was only just after 5, I normally temp at 6.30.
So I went back to sleep and woke up again at 6.30 and temped then, which was 36.30 which is a reasonable post OV temp for me.
Thing is I normally wake up at 5 and go back to sleep. So it shouldn't mess with the temps too much.
I'm getting a sinking feeling it might be anovulatory.
Did an OPK today and got a faint line, which is again normal for my post OV. I get nothing before, until just before OV when I get a fade in, then a slight line after until AF.

Flightty · 15/04/2012 13:04

Lime, judging by all the co-poasers last week, it's going to be one of those nights when half of us are at it I think Grin

Pip, I do wonder how the temping thing works. This last month I've often woken up at say 1am, taken temp, found it's fairly low, then taken it at 4am, still low, 5am, probably its peak - then after that it goes lower again. Not sure if it's cos I'm waking up so much, I don't get out of bed or anything, just lie there, and sleep again usually - anyway, I know when I get up and wander about, it tends to go up quite a bit, so i've discarded one or two when I've forgotten to take it till DP and me have already had a cup of tea and he's gone to work - around 7ish. Because they've been really high.

Pipbin · 15/04/2012 19:16

The way I see it is that if I wasn't temping I would be sure I'd ov'd by now. So I'm working on the theory that I have.

Flightty · 15/04/2012 20:27

Was it a clear positive the other day, because when I look at your chart my gut feeling is day 15. But I am new to it so you're wise to ignore me Smile

blackcatsdancing · 15/04/2012 20:29

fertility friend say to temp in the morning, if you have a problem with night waking (which i do) it is tempting to do temps then , especially if you suspect you haven't got 3 hours of sleep left ahead of you but you get a better bi-phasic pattern (they say) from doing it in the morning. I did a small experiment, took temp at usual time, went to loo, back into bed, took temp- exactly the same.
i often temp in the bathroom now . Also don't forget one odd temp is meaningless, its a pattern you're looking at.

Pipbin · 15/04/2012 22:49

The problem is I wake up, stick a thermometer in my face, then notice what the time is.
I'm back at work on Monday so hopefully my sleeping will settle down.
I just want a baby, why is it so sodding involved?

coveredinflour · 16/04/2012 07:49

Morning! I've been lurking off and on on this thread and just wanted to pop in and share my first ever BFP that I got this morning. Put due date into mn calculator and its... 25 December.

Trying not to get too excited in case AF turns up after all (due today/tomorrow/one day this week) and think I might be feeling some cramps but keeping d everything crossed that the reindeer will bring me a special delivery this christmas.

LimeLeafLizard · 16/04/2012 09:33

Hooray! At last another BFP and with a 25 Dec due date, too! Many congratulations Coveredinflour! I know it will be a nervous time for the next couple of weeks but all the same, wonderful news for you.

Crazytictac · 16/04/2012 12:31

Yay!! Congratulations coveredinflour. Fab start to the week! :)

Rudawakening · 16/04/2012 14:06

Has any one seen my AF?

It was due yesterday but got a bfn so don't know what's happening. Don't even want to get excited.

Pipbin · 16/04/2012 14:17

Temp this morning was highish but not as high as normal post ov.
I really don't know what to think.
