See a Rat. Smack it.

My sewing machine only takes up the same amount of space as a big briefcase. Or possibly a small suitcase. One of the ones that trundles along.

The problem is all the material. There's probably several cubic metres of material that 'might come in handy'.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/03/2012 11:48

Ha Whims, that would be my trouble. I have so much yarn as well. I have decided I need a room of my own for my creativeness!!!

Cos I work from home, I've got my own desk & shelves, however half of both are given over to all sorts of shit lovely offcuts of material that I will never do anything with fully intend to turn into a clothing line one day Grin

ScarlettInSpace · 26/03/2012 12:38

I've chosen this one anyway, am picking it up this afternoon, see you at LFW dahlinks Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/03/2012 12:50

Scarlett I am well jell. There is a sewing machine shop in my town, and I often gaze through the window Grin

What symptoms do you have to report, come on, spill!

Hello rat smacketeers, I am still here, lurking about nervously and awaiting maybe's confirmation. I am desperately trying to keep off the internet because I keep on being drawn to miscarraige threads and I need to try and be a bit more positive!

Also brooking for pop's scan tomorrow (I think its tomorrow?)

I think all is well here, hard to tell, am about 8 weeks, scan next Weds but until then I am symptom monitoring like mad and still engaging in hourly knicker checking. I have never wished my life in quite such spectacular fashion before, not even in the 2ww!

Still, its a lovely day out there, hope you are all managing to enjoy it a little.

McPopcornMouseNFries · 26/03/2012 13:47

Yep, tomorrow morning far :)

I hope this isn't really insensitive (because that's not how I intend it at all, but I am the self-acknowledged queen of foot-in-mouth Blush ) but what's the furthest you've gotten with a pregnancy pre-diagnoses/medication, far? I was just thinking about it yesterday and hoping you'd be able to not worry quite so much once you pass that point, iyswim? (That said, I don't think I've ever worried quite so much as I have done over the past 8 weeks since my bfp, I think it's a state of being once updiffed?!!)

Lovely sewing machine scarlett - what are you planning to make with it?

GenericDietCola · 26/03/2012 13:49

Happy birthday Whim! Sorry your dinner party didn't go as well as you hoped, but I'm sure your friend over-reacted. Is there any cake left?

Little how's your DD now? Hope AF stayed away.

Sweetie sorry to hear about your low temp etc and I am still brooking that the witch will stay away.

Beedle I am brooking for you too!

Maybe you have to test tomorrow, you promised!

Far I'm glad you are OK and it's a good idea to stay away from the mc threads. Stay positive and we are all brooking for you!

Pop I can't believe your scan is tomorrow - that's gone so fast! Will you be immediately changing your FB status and profile pic?

Hello to everyone else, isn't the sunshine marvellous? SWI starts tonight in the Generic house (bit early, but it'll be SFF at least).

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/03/2012 13:49

Oh Far lovely. Everything is going to be great this time round. Remind me, are you on meds? We are all brooking for you

Sparks its so hard not to symptom spot isn't it. This is the first month where I haven't had a symptom to spot Grin other than tiredness and hunger. But that's neither here nor there!

Stasi · 26/03/2012 13:49

Little hope DD is feeling better today.

Cupcakes good luck getting that appointment, and you definitely should push for a referral! There's more to assisted TTC than IVF!

Bean lovely to see you! You don't have to join in mentalling to stay with us here. Just be our friend..

Whim So sorry your dinner didn't go as planned. I always find things with people so stressful that I tend to avoid parties if possible. I hope you're enjoying your birthday today. Make sure you eat lots of cake obviously in front of your colleagues.

Sweetie So sorry this doesn't seem to be your month. It's always so much worse when you think you're in with a better chance than usual.

Pop Wow scan tomorrow! So excited for you!

Far glad you're doing well, though it would be nice to hear you were relaxed and enjoying your pg. I'm sure all will be fine up to, and beyond, your scan next week. Enjoy the sunshine, the vit D is good for you!

Sparkle those symptoms sound good, I like the sound of the metallic taste? You could link your chart so we can all obsess with you?

We had quite thick fog all day Sat, and it was cold too. Though apparently the other side of the city was lovely and warm! I didn't get to do much as SIL threw out her long term boyfriend, so I was babysitting the flat while she went to get the locks changed. Sat night we were on standby for rescue, but she had the police round instead, and Sun we spent all day packing up his stuff.

I have read everything, but don't have time for a proper post just now. I decided to go back to work today (already regretting it with the sunshine!) and have to get some work done. Should be posting more often now though, as will be at computer all day.

On TTC front, I'm at about 4DPO and finding chart www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Stasi a little confusing. I did take my temp yesterday morning, but was so tired I forgot the reading. I think it was about 36.6 again. I want to be hopeful, but not too hopeful, this month. Still waiting for a post HSG BFP. I did find a consultant appointment card the other day though, have an appointment for early May. Still ages away!

Stasi · 26/03/2012 13:52

Oops, chart link fail.

chart

McPopcornMouseNFries · 26/03/2012 14:04

:o generic yes, and every subsequent update from here til eternity will be gushy and baby-related :o :o

Looks good, Stasi! :) Sounds like a right drama with DSIL, and you're lovely to have helped her out. Sounds like she's better off without him?

farfallarocks · 26/03/2012 14:09

I am on the meds (progesterone and heparin) and I have never got past 6 weeks so its all good signs i know. I suppose I just can't quite believe I am lucky enough for this to actually happen with a good ending

Hands round sun screen and sangria for all the brookers

GreenOlives · 26/03/2012 14:24

Yummy, thanks for the Sangria Far, another alcoholic drink which I can legitimately factor in as part of my 5 a day! Grin You are a rat smacker and you ARE going to have a happy ending this time!

Happy birthday Whims! Thanks Glad to hear DH has redeemed himself and that your boys spoiled you. Glad you liked the virtual necklace that we bought you, good choice Imps Wink

Maybe you have to test tomorrow or I shall burst! And you too Beedle then we can have double the celebrations! Grin

SweetieDoesIt · 26/03/2012 14:50

Charts are both looking very good Stasi and Sparkle you seem to have both had early dips in temp, which in my limited understanding is a very good sign, and you can symptom share with each other. You could be cycle buddies.

far you doing amazingly well, can understand the massive wobbles this is all causing you and Mr Far. Not long til your next scan and more peace of mind.

Lovely to hear from stasi although it seems a bit hectic for you like an episode of 'stenders hope things settle down for you and SiL

I have had a bit of good news, my referral has just arrived for next thursday! So only 6 weeks from going to see GP to the actual appointment ShockShock. It has sort of cheered me up in a strange sort of way.

Imps7 · 26/03/2012 15:01

D'you Pops I can't actually believe that it's your 12 week scan tomorrow. That means that it's been two months - TWO MONTHS!! - since your BFP. It really feels like it was only last week. Unbelievable how quickly time has flown.

Far it's all looking so good for you and Farfette! She is going nowhere, you mark my words.

Stasi your chart looks fine to me. I must disagree with FF's analysis of last month's chart though - it looks to me like you ov'd on 14 DPO (and that would make more sense with your LP). I am really really really hoping that this is your month my lovely.

Sweetie I can understand why you'd be cheered by the referral - it's progress and means that things are moving forward. Of course you'll be diffed in 6 weeks time so you won't need that referral.

McPopcornMouseNFries · 26/03/2012 15:31

sweetie that's really impressive, I think waiting time around here is upwards of 3 months! Not that you'll need it, of course :)

It has Imps - but in other (mainly early-days, emotional) ways it's crawled by! :o Am now vaguely worried that the sonographer will find nothing in my uterus, turn to me and say something along the lines of "I'm sorry Popcorn, you're not pregnant at all - are you sure you were peeing on the stick correctly?" :o :o

Oh far that's really very positive, then! And I agree with Olives - you're a rat smacker and we're all brooking no argument that farfette will be absolutely fine :)

Imps7 · 26/03/2012 15:48

Oh, hold on, I've misunderstood - 6 weeks between GP and referral appt which is next Thurs. Ignore all my comments about not needing the appt in 6 weeks cos you'll be diffed. Durrrr!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/03/2012 16:08

Pop I'm with Imps I cannot believe where the last 8 weeks have gone! I am so excited for your news tomorrow!

Sweetie that's great news. Though Imps is right, you'll deffo be diffed by then.

I will test tomorrow, if just so that the GP doesn't ask me if I have or not!

I came home early today as we are giving our bunnies away to DH's boss. They don't really like the puppy, and they will have lots of room to run around. Plus, we can keep tabs on them Smile

Imps7 · 26/03/2012 18:33

Hurrumph! I have just discovered (through FB) that everyone we know (with children) who are part of the same group of friends a 2 particular friends of ours were invited to said friends' daughter's 1st birthday party and christening, but we weren't! I realise that we don't have children so probably wouldn't have fitted in at a soft play party, but still! And they're really good friends too. Hurrumph.

Imps7 · 26/03/2012 18:40

OMG and it turns out that another friend who told OH on Saturday night that he and his family hadn't been invited was sodding well there too!!! Seriously, what is wrong with some people? Well if they think they're getting an invite to our DC's first birthday party they can go and f**king whistle for it.

SweetieDoesIt · 26/03/2012 19:07

Imps it is shocking isn't it, my friends are just the same. Most have DC but there are us and 2 more couples in our "group" who don't and we seem outcast due to our lack of DC which is so silly because it always nice to get together and we now see very little of each other because of the DC.

Maybe I am so pleased you are going to put us all out of our combined misery and confirm what we all know. So what time will this be taking place? Just so I don't miss it before going to work and spend all day in suspense
