popcorn, v disappointed in my fellow doctors. Want to give them a bit of a shake. Have you increased your thyroxine at all since your BFP? I don't want to be getting into actual medical advice here (because, to be fair, you don't have any proof I am who I say I am, but I definitely am and have linked to proper guidelines and everything!), but T4 of 12 is on the lower limit of normal (depending on your lab, normal is around 11-23), so in pregnancy I'd actually want that to be higher, in the upper half of the reference range. Your TSH at 6 weeks though was very satisfactory, but is likely to be higher now.

BartletForAmerica · 24/03/2012 18:18

Just checking back in while DS is in the bath - still no confirmation from Maybe?!?

TheLittleFriend · 24/03/2012 19:20

maybe you know a faint line is a BFP right?!?! Can't wait til you see a FR that you believe xx

I've had a shocking day. DD hurt herself in the garden and was so hysterical with pain that we call NHS direct. They were worried, so they sent an ambulance to assess her for a neck injury at lunchtime, which turned out to be a trapped nerve thank god. She's still in pain now, from the muscles around it, but she's calm now at least. It made me realise I'm no good in a disaster, as I couldn't stop crying for her Sad

Hello all. RL very busy at the moment, so hoping that will distract me just enough so I get a BFP and Christmas baby.

Little that sounds horrible, but I'm glad she is OK. I hope you have a nicer Sunday.

Olives so sorry re AF but I hope by now you are having a fab time dancing at the wedding.

Cupcakes sounds like you are in an awful position and I agree with the others that you need to get a second opinion. Your blood tests have been fine, but an HSG seems the obvious next step, not IVF. Brooking that you will get an ironic BFP after all of this.

Maybe OMAG! You are soooo preggo my dear! Can't wait for conf tomorrow.

Hello everyone else, better go as DH is watching BGT and I need to persuade him to put something else on...

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/03/2012 20:48

Oh Little your poor DD. And poor you, it must be horrible to see her in pain. I remember doing the same when I was 7. i remember it so clearly, it was horrific. I hope she feels better soon. You were very right to call NHS though.

Bartlett I am going to hold off POAS for a few days. If I am going to get a BFP, I want there to be no doubt about it. Plus my lack of symptoms makes me wonder.

Scarlett Grin at your snowboarding!! It is very true though. The first half was erratic due to illness, but the latter half has been to the letter. Very strange.

I went on my cupcake course girlies! It was amazing. I will post a photo tomorrow. I loved it, and am going to go back and do a longer course too!

Hope everyone has had a lovely day in the sun and you are all having a lovely evening x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/03/2012 20:49

Generic GH and I are watching Dale W on the national lottery show. It doesn't get much lower than that.... Grin

There will be no confirmation tomorrow, but I may test again on Tuesday, as have a GP appt that afternoon, so would be tempting fate Wink

GenericDietCola · 24/03/2012 20:54

OK Maybe I totally respect you waiting to confirm on Tuesday spoilsport

SweetieDoesIt · 24/03/2012 21:26

Little it sounds terrible, poor DD & you. Hope you all have a calm evening, hope the poor little lamb isn't sore tomorrow.

Generic brooking for a blase Christmas baby

Maybe the baking course sounds great, can not wait to see the photos of your efforts would love to eat the lot too

I might join Maybe with PIAR on Tuesday, I will be 12DPO then although FF is saying wait until Thursday, like that is going to happen

Am working again tonight, to fix all the issues caused last night.Wink Will spend most of the night on conference calls. I can here DH laughing at BGT, and he keeps popping in to my office to offer me beer. Very sweet of him but I am not sure it would go down if I started slurring on my calls!!! Blush

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/03/2012 21:42

Photo uploaded, not the best one though!

Sweetie working on a Saturday night sucks. When will you be done by?

Generic I totally think I am a spoil sport. But in my head, the more I think I may be pregnant means the less likely I will be pregnant. IYKWIM plus it's quite nice pretending I may be

Oh, and in my cupcake course, I was working next to a 7 month preggo. This is a sign no? Oh, and DH's work friend had his baby boy today, and he has the same name as DH. Another sign? I think so Plus, I have had the bloodiest steak ever. And it was bloomin lovely

SweetieDoesIt · 24/03/2012 22:17

Wow Maybe those are excellent, you are totally a professional. Seriously you could make a business out of those. Love the colour scheme too blue for a boy??

The work didn't finish while about 10am this morning from Fridays change, which should have finished by 4am. Tonight is very risky with the clocks changing, so we might not even be able to change anything after 11.30pm until all the systems settle down. So I have no idea how long it will be for. Sad

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/03/2012 22:29

Oh Sweetie that sucks. I hope you have lots of tea and cake to keep you going

Thank you for your kind comments on my cakes Smile decides that the blue for a boy makes 3 signs in a row which must mean diffedness

Good morning lovely rat smacketeers!

Wow what a gorgeous morning, hope everyone has got nice weather. I've been working so have been AWOL for a few days.

Maybe two faint lines????!! I'm using every drop of brooking power I have for a juicy big line on Tuesday although I really want you to PIACC right now I can't look at the cake pics as I'm on my phone bit will have a look next time I get on a computer.

Sweetie hope your work is over and done with so you can enjoy today. It totally sucks working over the weekend.

Little that sounds awful, hope your DD is ok today.

Imps thanks for reminding us about the clocks. I didn't get home from work until 00:30 which was really 01:30 and I completely forgot about it. Am bloody tired this morning. Can't believe your staying out till midnight on a school night Wink

I'm fed up as my CBFM gave me a peak yesterday and DH is away!! We dtd on Thursday night and he is home today. If we dtd today do you think we have any chance?

WRT the GP, we found on NHS choices some information that states that for fertility investigations (this is in a section about referrals and the patient having a choice in where they are referred) "every patient is entitled to be assessed in an NHS clinic" now to me that says at the least we should be referred to a gynae and our journey doesn't end at the GPs. DH couldn't get an appointment on Friday so we will try again next week.

SweetieDoesIt · 25/03/2012 10:56

Morning all, managed to get all finished and to bed by about 2.30am. Really shattered now worried how I will cope when baby does come along with the sleepless nights

imps can you sneak some booze into to choir recital? Might make it more enjoyable Wink How about a healthy shot or 6 in a bottle of coke, or rose wine instead of the berry Oasis drink? Just a thought.

Cupcakes I would say pounce on DH today when he gets back, cannot hurt can it, well maybe the pouncing bit could so be careful. But go for it. Glad you have found some useful info on the NHS, bloody GPs seem to really add to the stress of TTC IMO.

DH wants to go to the farmer market and fair at the local stately home this morning, good choice when it is such a lovely day. But of course is now distracted by the F1 so by time we get there is will have finished. Never mind can still have a walk through the gardens. Hope everyone else is having a lovely weekend.

or rose wine instead of the berry Oasis drink?

You are quite clearly a pro Sweetie!! Excellent tip :)

Cupcakes - go forth and pounce. Even if you popped last night, eggs can live for up to 24 hours so Dr Google tells me so a shag today will not be a waste of effort at all!

GenericDietCola · 25/03/2012 15:08

Maybe your pics are amazing and I totally understand your attitude to testing. I'm the same - I'd rather not test and just enjoy the fantasy that I might be preggo (well not at the moment as AF's still here, but in the 2ww yes!)

Sweetie sounds like a tough night, but I hope you're enjoying the sunshine now.

Imps I like Sweetie's suggestion too! Rose wine - genius!

Cupcakes glad you are informed of your rights and can now insist for a referral.

Sparks enjoy the party!

Have fun in the sun rat smackers and get some lovely endorphins to get you in the mood for SWI!

beangrower · 25/03/2012 15:54

Just popping in for a quick wave, but you must ignore me as I'm meant to be doing less of this and letting go! [DS having a massive nap which is when I tend to lurk!]

Beautiful day. Hope you are all connecting with your loved ones! Wink

As you were Smackateers.

McPopcornMouseNFries · 25/03/2012 16:25

Hi bean!

My meds haven't been raised, no bartlett - I'm on my phone but I'm going to have another look at your link in the morning. I think, though, that I've reached the point where there's nothing I can do til my obs appointment in 3 1/2 weeks :(

TheLittleFriend · 25/03/2012 19:22

Hi all

Thanks for the well wishes to my dd. She is still in a bit of pain today, but seems more perky this afternoon. I think that a nights sleep is, unfortunately, not the best thing in this case, as it seems to stiffen up over night. So I'm expecting more tears in the morning, but hopefully she is getting much better overall.

Cupcake course sounds great maybe. A friend of mine did a "cake pop" course which she loved.

I don't envy those hours sweetie. But don't worry about coping with lack of sleep when you have a baby. You will.

cupcakes I hope you managed some swi - sounds like it would have been good timing.

secret strange question for you, but is it actually your nan's 80th today? Because it's my nan's today too! Having the 80th celebrations next weekend though.

I hope you've all had good weather - we've got loads done in the garden. Planted carrots, leeks, chard, lettuce and spring onion. Peas and beans to go in in a few weeks.

I've had a bit of spotting (it can hardly be called that - more just brown discharge, sorry for tmi), but I'm sure it signals af's impending arrival. If she's coming, I want her to appear by tomorrow, as that'll be the last day for a 2012 due date!!

whimsicalname · 25/03/2012 19:23

Hello everyone
Hope you've been enjoying the sunshine.

I'm a bit down in the dumps as the little pink smear that precedes AF by 24 hours appeared first thing this morning. I was a bit hungover tired, having felt my dinner party didn't go very well and had a bit of a sob in bed.

The puddings were are triumph, but I really upset my friend who was staying just as everyone arrived. I thought she was going to storm out of the house and drive 200 miles she was that angry with me. Misjudged joke about her extent of faith and my lack. And then Mr Whim drank too much and was a wanker. I'd been looking forward to it so much, and then was so upset about upsetting my friend I couldn't enjoy myself.

We had a bit of a chat today, but it's been strained all day. They've all gone now, and it's nice to have my house back to it's normal level of chaos.

Mr Whim though has offered to go and get himself checked out. We both have a sneaking suspicion his testicles got baked when he was in intensive care, so it'll be interesting to see what happens. If that is the case, we won't do anything, we'll just be glad for the 3 lovely boys we've got and move on. But it would be nice to know.

Sorry to be me me me. I think this was my first real ttc meltdown. No doubt there will be more.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 25/03/2012 19:45

Oh Whim that doesn't sound like a fun night at all. At least you managed to have a chat this morning though. I'm sure things will work themselves out. Good friendships are made of tougher stuff.

Hope MrWhim's balls are ok. I'm sure they will be though Smile An don't worry about pink CM. It doesn't always mean AF.

Same goes for you Little, I am brooking that AF gets the hint and buggers off.

Thanks Generic I really enjoyed making them. I might even eat one later Grin

Hope you managed to find a hip flask Imps to make the recital go a tad quicker Grin

Sparks hope you and your Nan had a lovely day today

Cups I am sure you will catch that egg. No way does your journey end at the GP, they can't have the power to decide that. But you won't be needing them of course.... Wink

I am on my own tonight as DH is working nights and overtime before hand. Had a lovely day over the allotment though before he went. Doesn't really feel like we have got anywhere though Grin and it's tough as they haven't turned the water on yet, so it's all a tad dry. Hope the potatoes, onions and garlic will be ok Hmm

shinyblackgrape · 25/03/2012 19:45

Oh whims - I'm sorry. Have a ((((hug))))). To be honest, I really fail to see what you could have said just as she was coming in the door that was so hideously offensive. Anyway, it's not very Christian of her not to forgive Grin!

I'm also very sorry re AF too. I know there's nothing I can say to make it better so have some Wine and Thanks.

Good idea re mr whims going to the docs.

Off to catch up with everyone else but though you should have a post for you.

TheLittleFriend · 25/03/2012 20:06

whims I'm sorry to hear you've had a rubbish evening / day. It's a horrible feeling when something happens to ruin an event you've been looking forward to, and then any sign of af just adds insult to injury. maybe is right though, a pink smear doesn't always mean af. I'm at the same stage of you this month, so brooking hard that it's not af for either of us. xx

Imps7 · 26/03/2012 00:11

Evening all - am back from the choir thing. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would - still not totally my cup of tea, but not as bad as I was expecting. What I didn't enjoy though was getting in to the train station at 11pm and having to cycle 5 miles home by myself (OH staying in London tonight). Luckily no rain/drunk people/shit drivers to have to contend with tonight though.

Whims sometimes life just goes out of its way to piss you off. Sorry you didn't enjoy your evening - I am intrigued though as to what you could possibly have said in jest that would cause your friend so much anger. Are you sure she wasn't just being a bit of a drama queen? My OH can be a total twat when he's drunk too - usually if he's had a very stressy week at work. In those circumstances I tend become the person whose to blame for everything and it's not fun.

Maybe am sure your plants will be fine. We got a water butt last year and it's amazing how much water it collects from the gutter. I put some mint and chives in yesterday and sowed some coriander and basil seeds in pots under cling film - not sure if it will work but it's worth a try. We also got rid of a massive overgrown shrub and put a dark purple magnolia tree in its place - it's only about 1m tall at the moment but should grow to about 4m. I love magnolias so am well pleased that we've got our own one now.

Little glad DD is on the mend, but the stiffness prob will get worse before it gets better. Brooking no argument that AF stays away. And from you too Whims.

Okay, had better go to bed - night all.
