Guys I've had a really screwy cycle this month. I wasn't aware of any CM at all, really, and usually I have a good regular pattern to go by.

Normally my cycles are about 28 days since at least 6 or 8 months ago...they used to be shorter, maybe 24 days, something like that.

Anyway long story short, I've been testing negative for a few days, it's a bit early to test anyway as I'm due on on about Tuesday.

Temping as well but just started so that's a bit iffy and I've been ill anyway this week, and had no sleep (something to do with this?)

Anyway just got my period, well, probably, though I haven't had any of the usual cramps etc (I had them badly for a week, last month) and I don't know when or even IF I ovulated.

If this is her, for real, and I ovulated 2 weeks ago that means we could easily have conceived as we managed to do it 2 and 4 days before ov. which obviously we didn't mean to, though not NOT trying iyswim.

If on the other hand it's not her, could it be implantation spotting? I've never really had that before so I don't know how heavy it would be.

So I'm slightly baffled, not too freaked out but could use some ideas on this if anyone can follow what I am on about Grin

Mainly what is implantation spotting like, and can you have a super short cycle once in a while?

Thankyou Smile

Oh I think I left out the crucial bit which is if this is AF, it's a 23 dayer.

Which is frankly weird. So I'm like this at her Hmm

I can't remember if I had any implantation bleeding at all last time I was PG, but I had a look online and this is what I've come up with:

In early pregnancy, you might get some light bleeding, called 'spotting', when the foetus plants itself into the wall of your womb. This is also known as implantation bleeding, and often happens around the time that your first period after conception would have been due

So if you're due around now, it could very well be implantation spotting.

Update: I just asked a friend, and she said she had spotting that was almost like her normal period, which is (in her words) usually relatively light, and there was 'some moments where there was no bleeding, then it would come back for a few hours then go again'

But it's different for everyone I think. Mine was probably akin to a normal flow for me (kinda heavy but not very painful), hence why I don't remember it.

I might not have been much help, but I hope I've not confused you any more than I've confused myself!

Thankyou ever so much, that is a really useful post...and i feel rather silly for asking, because it feels like it's proper AF now, I don't know, it's just 5 days before it ought to be!

Maybe just a weirdy cycle...will keep at it and see what happens next month Smile

Thankyou again Smile
