Did you get a BFN when overdue and pg?

With dd I tested the day AF was due and got a BFN. I had a light bleed for a few days and assumed that was AF, two weeks later, feeling like crap, I tested again and got a positive.

This time the bleeding started a few cycle days later and seems to have stopped after 5 days. It's just spotting really. But even though I'm on CD 39 of a 28 day cycle I can't get a BFP.

Next Thursday will be the same cycle day I got a BFP with dd. I'm so sure I'm pg but I just can't get a BFP, even with clear blue digi.

Have any of you been in the same situation?

What tests have you used? Do you know when you ovulate?

If you ovulate late & the tests aren't that sensitive, then that could explain it. I don't think clearblue are that sensitive - have you tried a superdrug early non-digi (pink box) or First Response?

I did I was 2 weeks late did 1 and got a bfn 2 weeks later still no AF did another one and got a bfp. I was def pg at the first test but think it was too early or something.

Had had 2 nights out in the meantime between tests but he's 12 wks now and sat on my knee quite happy so can't have caused too much damage Grin

Thank you. I'm not sure when I ovulated but I have regular 28 day cycles. I've just had another negative, this is CD 40. The spotting has stopped completely. I used a clear blue digi this morning. I think I might get some Superdrug ones, thats what eventually gave me a BFP with dd.

The superdrug ones are particularly sensitive as I remember (they detect just 10 rather than 20 or 30 of whatever the unit of HCG is). You can also get very sensitive ones very cheaply on the internet. You could also try the GP for a blood test.
