Okay so my situation is i am on the mini pill and have been since sep last yr, i have been really forgetful the last two months and probably missed 5 pills on my last pack and 4-5 on current pack,
Ive done pg test which was neg, but then i had some spotting which lasted a day,

Bit confussed if that is just from the inbalance of taking the pill or signs or something else,

All advice welcome

It's not uncommon to spot a bit if you're not taking the pill properly, your hormones won't know if they're coming or going!

Try and take it with breakfast for example, or when you brush your teeth - something you do routinely every day iyswim, so that it's harder to forget. I found it helped to leave the packet out somewhere obvious (though I realise not everyone's comfortable with that!) :)

You need to do a pregnancy test 16 days after the last time you had unprotected sex. If you are on cerazette, you should have contraceptive cover after 48 hours of missing a pill. I don't know about other mini pills though, perhaps consider using condoms until you are sure you are not pregnant.

Then you need to try a different method of contraception! with the mini pill, taking it every day on time is more important than with the combined pill. You might be better with a long acting method if you struggle with taking pills daily.

I agree with putting them somewhere obvious. With the tooth brushing gear is a good tip because that is something you do twice a day, so if you forget the pill in the morning, you'll see them again when you clean your teeth in the evening.

Ah good point kit - I always used to take them in the morning as it gives you 12 hours to remember if you forget! But if you take them in the evening it's game over for 7 days.

But kit is right, you do need to consider if it's for you, if you can't rely on yourself taking it iyswim.
