Hi
New thread. I am taking agnus cactus and am wondering if there is anything that can help kick start ovulation. I have been on depo for over 6 years. I have had my last injection in october and havent had anything since, except a small bleed in dec.
HELP !!

Don'y know if this will work but have heard a lot of anecdotal evidence - cut out all carbohydrates from your diet (you probably will need to do it for about a month - difficult I know).

Good luck

Just give time gemma. Honestly - I took around 9 months to return to regular cycles when we decided to try for DD2 and that is not I believe unusual. I wouldn't use agnus cactus at the moment to be honest - you need (I think) to give things around 6 months at least to revert.

Sorry.

9 months after stopping Depo obviously .

Thinking about it the fact you have had a small bleed is good and may mean things are moving on.

Hi gemmaseascout,
No advice as I am in the same situation... had my last depo injection in May last year and since then have only had a tiny bit of spotting in December and same again but with a bit of cramping for 24 hours at beginning of January. I was only on depo for 18 months!

From what I have read it's just a case of sitting it out till things go back to normal. Would be interesting to hear others experiences...

Hi gemma, i posted on a thread recently, that my doc took bloods, found that i was lacking in (i think) progesterone, so put my on the pill for three months. Finished the third pack and my period started! He claims that giving the body hormones artificially can kick start the body into producing them themselves.

So conincidence or genuine i don't know but glad i did it!
I had waited a good few months already for periods to start after depo.
