Can periods return if doing one or two night feeds?

I have a DS who is 7 months old, conceived after 7 IVF attempts. I want to try to conceive again either naturally or if this doesn't work, more IVF. However, I need my cycle to return again.

I have drastically reduced the breastfeeding and I only do one or two night feeds at the moment. Could this be enough to stop my periods returning? Do I need to stop altogether? I have been doing one or two night feeds for about two weeks only.

Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks

They should return soon I would've though, especially as you've reduced it so much.

They can return after 4 months even with EBF, everyone's different.

Best of luck x

My periods returned when the night feeds reduced. He was feeding around 11pm then not til 4am, that's when they started again. However, everyone is different. My friends dd has been sleeping through for months so not bf at all at night but still no af x

It varies so hugely.

My period didn't return after DC1 but only because I fell pregnant when she was 5mths (following fertility treatment to conceive!) even though I was still feeding through the night.

After DC2 I only BF for 2mths and periods returned at 5mths.

After DC4 periods returned at 7mths even though feeding 4hourly.

Good luck
