What do you think? Have a look here: my chart

I'm not convinced myself but I'd like the thoughts of some more experienced charters.

Hi pipbin :) I noticed that your chart shows a dotted red cross, I think that means its not entirely sure when you OVd as there is conflicting information in your chart. Maybe give it a couple more days to see if your BBT is consistently high :)

Pipbin · 15/03/2012 07:47

This is what I was thinking Crafty. It's not even a convincing rise is it. Not when you compare it to last month.

Hi pip, up until this morning my FF had my ovulation nearly a week ago, when i knew it wouldn't have been. With the benefit of this mornings temp it has changed it to a more plausible day. I would use FF as a guide together with your ov stick and any symptoms to work it out. I wish it was easier! It would be great if we all ovulated in uniform fashion!

Pipbin · 15/03/2012 20:01

Well I guess I must have done so by now and therefore have ov'd at some point.

Hi Pipbin. If I were you I wouldn't give up on DTD yet. Especially looking at your chart from last month, it may well turn out that actually you ovulate today/tomorrow. So would expect your temp to shoot up to around 36.4 similar to last month, within the next couple of days. Good SWI-ing!

Pipbin · 16/03/2012 06:55

Looks like you were right Jen. Proper temp rise today.

I think I ov'd on Thursday. What do you guys think? Do I need to change my chart or will FF do it for me?

I've changed my chart. When I overlay last months chart it's almost identical.
What do you guys think?

Not sure what to make of your charts, they don't sem to follow the tem dip sharp rise pattern, but it is a good sign that it is well above the base level post ovulation. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

We have very similar cycles as I ov on day 22 (today) and then have a 10 day lp. I'm a day behind you.

Seriously in awe of all you AM bedroom antics. That is something I've never mastered! Do you work shifts/ wake early or what? Grin

Sorry for typos darn phone!

Pipbin · 17/03/2012 10:41

I count AM as after midnight. FF say to do that as the sperm sits around (well hopefully heads off where it needs to) and the mornings readings are more relevant.

It could have been Tuesday with a slow rise, but the EW cf on Wednesday suggests Wednesday or Thursday. Either way you timed things well.

The temp dip before the rise thing is in most cases a myth - some women see it but most don't, or not consistently. So don't worry about looking for dips. (I have charted for about five years for contraception, only just started ttc, so I know the method really well.)

In general, fertility friend is very handy but it does not apply the rules of fertility awareness accurately. It is particularly likely to identify an ovulation date before the conditions for a thermal shift (3 temps at least 0.1 degree above the previous six) have been met. So if you're ttc don't rely on it, and keep trying until any fertile cf has definitely disappeared AND you've had three temps in a row that you are sure represent a thermal shift.

Hope that helps.

Pipbin · 17/03/2012 19:58

Thanks. Kali.
Seems that it's decided on a date it's happy with after today's temperature.
Just need to wait and see now.
