BFN but late AF!

Hi ladies, just wondering if anyone can help who might have been in a similar situation. We've been TTC DC2 (DS1 is 15 months) for just one month and I thought I was getting pregnancy symptoms in my 2 week wait (nausea, sinus pain, increased CM) but then thought it must be in my head as I don't remember having anything that early with DC1. Anyway I did a test 3 days before AF and on day of AF, both BFN. But my AF was due yesterday and no sign of it and I'm normally so regular - always a Sunday afternoon!!

I'm guessing that I can't be pregnant as the tests are 99% accurate but I suppose there is a glimmer of hope until AF arrives? Anyone had a BFN and then a BFP later? Not sure when to test again now (assuming no AF). I hate the waiting - don't remember it being this bad with DC1! - was thinking by yesterday I would know one way or another.

Well with dd I didn't get a positive until i was more than five weeks pregnant. Same this time, I'm a week overdue, all my symptoms are bang on and I reckon it'll show positive in just over a week.

Alternatively you could have a random longer cycle or delayed AF due to failed implanation. Or your hormone levels could be too high to show positive because you're expecting triplets Grin

Ha ha triplets HappyCamel that's made me laugh! Thanks for the reply, fingers crossed it's the first option. Hope you get your BFP in a week - it sounds very likely you will.
