Day4 of stinking? Which clinic is that?! Grin

All depends on how confident you AND your embryologist is of getting a pregnancy from one embryo. If you're younger (under30, say) with male factor and great blastocysts then the chances are you'll be fine. If you're in your 40s and hitting last chance saloon, you might be arguing for 3.
The embryo quality is a big factor and the embryologists can help with this.

And you don't need to decide pretty soon. You decide on the day, when you know how many embryos you have, and the quality. Don't let anyone tell you any different!

Just a thought, but my friend had 3 eggs implanted (in Italy) and ended up with triplets. It's OK now, but I think the first 3 years were pretty hellish.

Good luck.

Hi Karbea,

I agree with Bagofholly, you need to get your embryologist's thoughts on how things are going. DH and I were told that we would have 20% chance of twins if we have two put back and we thought long and hard about it and eventually decided we would go for two.

We wanted to make sure that, even though there was only a small chance of twins that we understood what we be involved. We did talk about just having one transferred but we only had three viable embies and felt that having twins was a better option for us than transferring one and then having problems with defrosting if that one didn't work out.

One stuck and am now 30 weeks pg!

Very very good luck, I am crossing my fingers for you whatever you decide,

Xxxx

I only had 2 good embryos so the decision was made for me but I would have chosen 2 because the thought of 3 being successful was way too scary. I ended up pregnant with one. good luck.
