bfp then bfn help!!

Ok so I am now 10dpo and two days ago I had a very bfp and today I had two bfns. One cheapie like the bfp nd one cb digital.

Could the first be a false bfp?? My cervix is still high, very soft closed and wet. plenty of ewcm almost.

At 10dpo its too early to tell. Sometimes you will get a faint positive on one test and a negative on another. It's almost certainly too early for a cb digi - they say they work 4 days early but that is based on 15dpo, so 4 days early is 11dpo at the earliest.

Usually if you get a coloured line within the time limit you are pregnant. However a line at 8dpo would be exceptionally faint so perhaps you are seeing things or hopefully not. Also, as you probably know, early testing is responsible for people finding out about chemical pregnancies that they wouldn't have otherwise been aware of - you get an early bfp, then a bfn, then your period comes at the usual time or a little bit late. If you hadn't have tested before your period you wouldn't have known.

In your shoes I'd test again tomorrow or the next day with another cheapie. If you are still seeing lines get a decent test such as First Response or Superdrug non-digital. If you don't get a line on the cheapie, wait and see if your period arrives and then test again.

The bfp i got was a second pink line, within one minute. it wasnt as bright but was just as thick and could clearly be seen at arms length in any light, no squinting or taking apart or tilting or photo editing needed xx i may post a photo here later if i can figure out how to on my phone

Well, that sounds quite optimistic really. Perhaps save up some nice concentrated urine for a few hours today?

Yes i shall try but i cant go longer than an hour it seems lol

ive just invested in first response for later and again in the morning and if both are negative im cracking open the wine and waiting for af!! X

Caspa- going by your other thread you are only cd13!! There is everychance you have not even ovulated yet.

I'm not a expert on this and hopefully someone else can give you more detail but it is possible to have a few surges of hormones during your monthly cycle which would give you a smiley but that does not guarantee that you will ovulate (just that your body is getting ready)

I'm not sure how to explain the bfps that you say you are getting but really you would be a medical miracle if you are getting bfps on cd13 (not forgetting the bfps you say you got days ago)

Meaning it in the nicest possible way but you really need to get a grip, it can take months/years to get a bfp and you are going insane in month one!

Since, according to your other threads, you've only just come off the pill, how do you know when you ovulated?

Did you start them as soon as you stopped the pill or something?
All sorts can be going on with your body when you first come off contraception.

If you've only just come off the pill, ditch the smiley faces and the early testing. Enjoy at least 3 months of contraception free fun shagging without all this mentalling over sticks. If you don't get a period within 5 weeks from the previous one, do a test. Save the hardcore ttc with the ovulation sticks for a while as it will put you under undue pressure.

Although hopefully for you you won't need that advice if you have got a bfp :)
