Q1 I have pcos and unpredictable periods so I never know when I am ovulating. I have decided to check my cervix daily. I was wondering if anyone else tried this as an ovulation detecting method and how effective is it?
Q2 When I am ovulating I want to make the best of it! I had assumed that having lots of sex at this time was the best way to go. But one friend said less frequent sex = more potent sperm. Is this nonsense?

Don't know about Q2, but for Q1 you really should borrow/beg/buy a copy of this book. Good luck!

The general advice is to have sex every other day throughout your cycle. Sperm will live up to 5 days, though this is the extreme end of the spectrum, 2-3 days is more likely.

I also have PCOS and have been charting my temperature for about a year. This cycle I've also been using OPKs and checking my cervix. I've definitely noticed changes in the position of my cervix, though I don't know how reliable it is as a method on its own.
