CBFM: 4 Cycles and still not up the duff!

Hello ladies, I'm TTC DC3, was so lucky to conceive first 2 straight away. This time, I'm trying out a CBFM - just out of curiousity really - but just got a BFN on my 4th cycle. I think the bottom line is we're not having enough sex - we've never managed to DTD on both peak days, we (well, mainly DH to be honest) runs out of steam by that point in the month. How are other CBFM users getting on?

Remember that 4 cycles is totally average when you are ttc. Even if you were having sex every day, it would be not out of the ordinary for you not to be pregnant yet.

My top tip is this:
Regardless of whatever else you can and can't manage - Always have sex on the first peak day. Don't worry if you don't hit the second, but always always get the first if you can. This means that by the time the egg is released the sperm have had time to swim up to meet it.

If you have had 4 cycles you should have an idea of how many high days you are getting before the peak so you can "pace yourself" a bit better. If you know you will get five high days then ignore the first of them and then do every other day till you see the 3 bars.

I was ttc for almost a year, and got my BFP the first month I used my CBFM! I'd been temping for 6 months but that month I ovulated early and, tbh, if I'd not been using the CBFM I'd have missed my peak days entirely - we only dtd on the first peak day in sheer panic!

4 months really isn't very long, though - especially if you're missing your peak days. I'd do as kit suggests; maybe skip the first few "high" days and dtd towards the end of your high days and definitely on your first peak day.
