[swings a kipper]

The best way I find to deal with it all (almost 2 years ttc but only 6 actual cycles due to PCOS) is to allow myself to have 1 day of crying and moping, but then to pick myself up, dust myself down and get on with it. Otherwise you find the sadness totally overwhelming and it can seep into every aspect of your life.

Hello
As you've had the slap, I thought I'd just give sympathy. I am currently waiting for AF to start (after 4 BFNs I know I'm not pg), but I'm 8 days late. It's so frustrating isn't it? It's like your body is playing tricks. I am actually willing the start of AF then at least I know things are working and I can get on with it for next month. I'm going to start trying some other methods - temping etc, so maybe you could consider that? (if you aren't already). Have some wine and chocolate, and loads of luck for next cycle.

It's fine to wallow, all of us who have been trying for a while do it. After 11 months it's maybe time to be proactive, have you had any investigations yet? Although, I think most GPs won't start until you've been trying for 12 months. There are lots of us in the same boat on the ttc 10 months plus thread if you want to join us. We're a very friendly bunch and all going through the same so we can offer support and sympathy in buckets.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 06/03/2012 17:14

I always wallow on day 1 and a bit less on day2. Then I stat exercising and eating healthily and I get back on the ttc horse. Wallow, take care of yourself and then get back on it when you're ready.

TotallyUnsure · 06/03/2012 17:59

thanks guys.

i am not usually too wallowy when AF arrives but 12 days late (i am not usually late) .... i honestly though this was our shot!

12 days late. That is really unfair. I feel for you, you must have been thinking this was the month, finally. Sad
