just looking for a bit of advice. I'm currently 13 dpo (cd32) according to temps (using fertility friend) and on 11dpo started to have slightly brown stained CM only on the toilet paper (sorry if tmi!!!) then on 12dpo also happened a few times. today 13dpo still no AF and the brown CM gone. Thinking (well probably foolishly hoping :) ) that it may have been implantation bleeding. Never had anything like this before-normally AF for me starts in the morning bright red and clear bleeding so never experienced this or spotting. Only other symptoms have been increased CM and quite pronounced nausea from 12dpo. Was just wondering when is the soonest after implantation bleeding that you could do a hpt and expect an accurate result and which would be a good test to use? I stupidly used a sainsburys own brand yesterday and bfn.

It could be implantation bleeding, or it could be something else like hormone imbalance, or a little bleed from over enthusiastic sex! (Unlikely to be anything to worry about although if it happens more frequently it could be worth a trip to the GP.) Fingers crossed for you it is implantation. You'll still have to wait a little while though as even the most sensitive tests don't claim to work until 7 days before your period is due, and most own brands wont work til after the first day of missed period.

I've had all sorts of spotting at various different times and there seems no rhyme nor reason (in my case anyway).

When's your period due? Wait till then and do any old test with first morning urine. If it's neg then wait a couple of days and do another (unless obv af turns up). Repeat as required (within reason!)

Unfortunately I think recognising v early pregnancy by symptom spotting is about as reliable as telling the future via the medium of a bird's entrails - but you'll know one way or another soon!

Fingers crossed for you x
