Could this be implantation bleeding??

Ok so have had some bleeding today on day 21 of cycle, quite red/pinky def not brown, not heavy as period but def not spotting iykwim. Also I'm on the pill although forgot to take a couple recently as LO has been sick and I've been so busy. (I know stupid)

Had sex on day 15/16 of cycle I think, not sure of exact day but it was start of the past week sometime.

So worried as my LO is only 7mo and im going back to work next wk, and we don't have the space or money for another baby.

DH is away all day so can't even talk to him. Can anyone shed any light, do u think it could be implantation bleeding based on the dates?

Did you have implantation with your first pg?

Willowme · 26/02/2012 15:47

No I didnt so not sure what this is really.

When the fertilized egg settles into the womb lining and attaches it can cause a light bleed. I didn't experience this with my DS pg so I can't comment further.

I suspect you're just having a bit of spotting, maybe to do with the hormone shifts if you've missed your pill. However, if you really don't want another pg/DC then have you considered a different type of contraception? I used the coil for years and it was great - lasts around 5 years and no need to worry about whether you forgot etc. Plus less hormones in your system. And easy to have a second pg after it's taken out if you decide you are ready for another.

Good luck; I hope you get a BFN if that's what you really want.

Thanks beangrower (ironic name btw) yeah could be hormone shifts too. Will have to wait another wk or so to do a test though and I'm so impatient,

If I am Pg we will be happy after the initial shock I'm sure, we talked about when we would start trying again this week, and it wasn't this soon anyway!

I have an allotment and I'm dying for another baby (1yr TTC); becoming more ironic with every month that I'm not pg. But never mind. I'm being positive this month.

Good luck either way.

Best of luck, and hopefully you'll grow a bean v soon, was trying a while for DS too so understand. Thats why I feel bad for panicing over this now though, if I am pregnant I will be happy after the initial shock has worn off though.

Sounds like you might be quite pleased either way. Wink It's always the way isn't it, you want one and don't get one, then you get ready to go back to work and a LO comes along?

Yeah I think a baby is always a gift and so what if it's not the best timing, we'll survive. I just like things to go the way I've planned them so if I had my choice it wouldn't be for another year and a half anyway but you can't always control everything I suppose!
