implantation bleed?

I have apparently started my period a week before its due, although its a lot lighter than normal, as in not much at all, and a lighter brighter red colour rather than dark red.

could this just be an early period, or is there a chance that its an implantation bleed? dont know much about it at all, when would I even have this if I were to have it? ovulated and had unprotected sex on the 16th, period is due on the 1st. help me!! :/

There is a good chance it is an implantation, especially if you don't usually get spotting? I'm afraid you will just have to wait and see and test close to the 1st, unless the spotting continues then it's worth thinking about a trip to the GPs. You could try testing around 26th but you're not necessarily going to know for sure until AF does or doesn't arrive.
