I am trying to work out when day 14 of my cycle is/was

Im sure its not that difficult but I am lost

I went to the cinema on the 19th Jan and I was on then.

And on the 17th I posted that I was suffering with AF

So I think i may have started AF a couple of days before that...

(I really ought to make a note of the dates!)

So do I count from the day I started AF or the day it finished?

When am I due again (if we go by a standard cycle)

And when is the most fertile date?

Thank you

Hiya - I think you count from the day it started - 14 days from then is the date you are most likely to conceive. You are due again 28 days from the first day you cam eon ..... I think!

Thanks

So what dates would those be?

my mind has turned to mush this morning!

Day 1 of your period is day 1 of your cycle. There is no such thing as a standard cycle-can be anything from about 28-35 days. You should monitor your cycle for a few months so you know how long it is. Have forgotten about the ovulation bit-sorry. Someone else will be along soon I'm sure. Those on the TTC threads are experts .

You count from the first day of your period, so if you started on 15 January, that's day 1 and day 14 would be 28 January - tomorrow. When you're due on again depends on how long your cycle normally is - everyone is different. 28 days is meant to be standard but it depends on your own individual cycle. With a 28 day cycle you would be due on again on 12 February.

Your most fertile date is generally supposed to be 2 weeks before your period starts, but that's only a guide.

So even if you had a 35 day cycle you would still go by day 14 or would it be day 17/18??

Can you tell I might have done something silly last night?

No, if your cycle was longer you would work back 14 days from when your next period was due.

Would you be happy to have another? If not, go and get some emergency contraception as soon as you can.
