cherrypiew3 · 26/02/2012 14:43

Possum AF is due to visit me on the same day as you I think and I am going crazy hopefully she will stay away from both of us.

I feel very weird tummy is very crampy and boobs hurt this however could all be in my head.

sedgieloo · 26/02/2012 17:25

Thanks to all for the congratulations!! Getting excited now. Learning SIL is also 5 wks actually made it feel more real, they were so happy, I started to think yeah its for real for me too and we also need to get happy!! You know that happy/slightly scared feeling some get with their bfp.... So yes pipsicles I am going to tell the family sooner now there's another baby on the way it will be great to see their faces!

I forget who asked me what I did different (I threw everything at it last month I could think of) but I'll post asap - just gotta cook tea first.

detective very many congratulations to you!!!

ChairOfTheBored · 26/02/2012 19:02

Am now 5 days late. Which isn't that much I know, but having established a really rather reliable 28-29 day cycle is v annoying to be on day 34 with still no sign but a load of BFN tests. If for no other reason than the sooner AF turns up the sooner it's over and we can start again. Sigh. Patience was never my strong point.

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/02/2012 19:19

I know how you're feeling it's a horrible wait/ limbo time.

We dtd last night, have slight 'tugging' on the right. I wish I'd bought OV tests I hate not knowing when it's happened. Prob won't dtd tonight and dh is working overnight tomorrow so won't get to dtd til tues night. If I'm OV today will that be enough dtd?!

Winkly · 26/02/2012 20:49

If you dtd last night and ov today, that should be fine I think.

I think I might use opks next cycle. I'm going to buy them when AF comes. How many sticks typically get used in each cycle?

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/02/2012 21:15

I hope so, Im feeling quite up for it again tonight though but don't think dh is keen!

I'm thinking of getting OPK from eBay, you can get loads for just a few quid so saving lots of ££

Winkly · 26/02/2012 21:45

How many get used per cycle? Do you just use them slightly before you think you've ov'd until you get a positive? Two sleeps til period day. Really struggling to not do a pointless test.

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/02/2012 22:01

With either type of OPK, it helps to work out when your fertile period is likely to start. It's usually the length of your usual cycle minus 17 days. So, if you have a 28-day cycle, start testing on day 11 and carry on for six days. Use our ovulation calculator to help you work out when your "fertile window" is likely to be.

Copied from the babycenter website, hope it helps :)

TheDetective · 26/02/2012 23:54

The Tesco cheapy gave me a clearer positive Grin feels much more real now!

PogoBob · 26/02/2012 23:57

Congrats Detective Grin

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/02/2012 07:18

thedetective congratulations!

Hopefully we'll all be joining you in a week or so :)

backwardpossom · 27/02/2012 08:07

Congrats Detective! Hope this is the start of many more!

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/02/2012 08:14

I'm really worried now that I'm OV but won't get to dtd til tomo eve Confused

sedgieloo · 27/02/2012 08:23

Winkly I bought this last month, in case it doesn't show which option, I got 30 OP tests and 10 HPT and preseed.

I want to say more but toddler won't let me will try to post later.

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/02/2012 11:20

Its gone quiet on here today, how is everyone?

CD20 for me, have booked lots of things to do this week to take my mind off it!

cherrypiew3 · 27/02/2012 11:30

Hi DH21 it's not very busy on here today. CD 24 for me and I'am feeling very emotional hope that's not a sign of AF. I know I shouldn't of but I have really built my hopes up this month.

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/02/2012 11:55

So have I just because I can't face doing it all again next month.

Winkly · 27/02/2012 11:57

Oh Cherry it's hard to not get your hopes up. I'm really struggling to hold off testing - difficult not to get my hopes up since I threw up my toast this morning. Even DH is joining in with symptom spotting now!

ChairOfTheBored · 27/02/2012 12:32

I wait no more. Day 35 and AF is here after teasing me with a 7 day delay. Wine and forbidden foods at the ready. Sad

ellesabe · 27/02/2012 13:42

chair Sad I had that last month and it sucks. It's so hard being back to square 1.

dh21 the amount you guys have been at it, I wouldn't worry about skipping dtd for one evening! Grin

winkly we've all got our fingers crossed for you! Grin at throwing up toast!

OP posts:
ellesabe · 27/02/2012 13:43

Sorry winkly, it's not that I like the idea of you throwing up, I just mean it's an encouraging sign!

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 27/02/2012 15:20

Lol yeh we have been quite busy this month!

Went to a group at a surestart centre (I go every mon) so that took my mind off things.

Only 4 hours to go til ds' bedtime, then I've got the eve to myself ahh!

Winkly · 27/02/2012 18:00

ellesabe I know it would normally be an encouraging sign, but I have a real bargain-basement stomach and throw up at the drop of a hat, and all my PMT symptoms have presented themselves, so I'm not at all hopeful.

I think I'll be buying the OPKs sedgie has kindly linked to if when AF comes in the morning.

Chair enjoy your wine and forbidden foods. I've stopped drinking (and my jeans are gratifyingly looser as a result!) but have bought some lovely creamy goat's cheese for salads later in the week :)

latestarter2009 · 27/02/2012 19:32

evening all, just a quick one to let you know that amazingly I got a BFP this afternoon. Still pretty freaked out, but wanted to share the baby dust around and hope it catches. Smile

PogoBob · 27/02/2012 19:38
