Unlikely to be pregnant so what's going on?

Sorry for starting a thread all about this, it's probably going to be short lived as I feel like my period is coming any minute. (and I will look a right plonker)

But I'm a bit worried about it. there's a small risk I could be pg but not significant.
My breasts have been really, REALLY sore for a week now, which is really odd - I've gradually stopped breastfeeding my younger one since christmas, he's only been having a little sip at bedtime for ages. So I doubt there is a problem to do with that, as they were fine till last week. And both of them hurt the same.
I've also been getting period cramps for over a week, which I only normally get on the day or two before.
Other things: I keep waking at night with a very dry mouth which is something I had badly in my last pregnancy, and don't normally get.
Keep having weird dreams,
I seem to have a constant cold, but not significant - just lots of nose blowing. It isn't going away.
Today I feel really rough, like I have a temperature, but I don't. Just shivery and so on.
I don't know, maybe it's just a virus or something, but I was due on probably yesterday and still nothing is happening.

Anyone got any ideas, especially about the boobs because if I'm not pregnant, I don't know what it could possibly be!

Thankyou Smile

Only way to know is to POAS! :)

I know, but I'm scared Blush

The thing is...if it's neg, what on earth is going on with the boobs? And the cramping etc?

I feel, technical term I know but weird. Just plain weird. And sort of, erm, hot? in that way you get when you're preggo. If you know what I mean? (maybe it's just me!)

I have found, since my second DC that my pre-menstral symptoms are more and more like my pregnancy symptoms, including nausea. I get very sore boobs for exactly 9 days!

Could it be that your periods are returning to "normal" as you reduce breastfeeding?

Vasilisa · 22/02/2012 14:21

Oh wow...now that would explain it, Forward. Thankyou, I didn't think of that.

How horrendous...they were never this bad in the old days! I've been BFing ds2 for four and a half years and now I'm quite glad I didn't stop sooner Smile

If that's what it is, anyway...perhaps it is all tied up in stopping bfing.

Oh my poor boobs.
