Welcome aboard ladies.
Please be seated, you may undo your seatbelts as soon as you see the SWI sign light up.

I'll be coming round with cake, biscuits and wine.

Come on girls, we can do it this month.

Heads held high and legs akimbo, off we go.

cherrypiew3 · 24/02/2012 13:13

Pipbin sorry AF turned up.

Ruda How are you doing any symptoms?

What it the earliest a pg test would work my stomach has been cramping lots since Monday and today I have noticed my boobs feel like they keep tightening. I am driving myself stupid now and wish the 2ww was over.

Rudawakening · 24/02/2012 13:13

AF got me this morning do need to change my date on the list, on my phone so can't do it at the minute.

cherrypiew3 · 24/02/2012 13:15

Oh no sorry Ruda

Chunkychicken · 24/02/2012 13:29

Sorry Ruda but there's a shiny new cycle ready and waiting for you!! :)

I've just noticed something and felt a bit smug - picked a chicken and bacon caesar wrap thing up for lunch and having eaten it, read the label; it said 'not suitable for a low potassium diet'. I think a high potassium/sodium diet was meant to helpful for y sperm according to Pandawatch's science bit, so here's hoping... Grin

I think I got a faint line on the OPK yesterday, so hoping that this means I' getting into the fertile period and the line will gradually get darker, until the peak/surge appears in a couple of days - although I don't actually know if they work like that!!! Confused

Been alternating different pregnancy/conception vitamins because I want to make sure I get the full range, but wasn't sure which ones to get. I mean, one has LOADS of B6 in, which is good for regulating your hormones, whilst another one has selenium and other minerals but far less B6. I'm avoidng the expensive ones, just using the superdrug or wilko own ones, but its VERY confusing. I haven't even looked at the asda ones yet and they're usually pretty cheap and not bad quality. I will have enough vitamins to last me through an entire pregnancy and beyond at this rate... Blush

Rudawakening · 24/02/2012 13:41

Thanks everyone I knew we wouldn't be lucky enough to fall pg on first cycle like a lot of my friends did Smile

Chunkychicken · 24/02/2012 14:06

You def can't judge by what happens to others or even yourself Ruda - my DD was produced after having unprotected sex twice at very roughly the right time and now we're on our 3rd cycle for #2 (although had an unsticky bean last cycle...) But it WILL happen. :)

knickyknocks · 24/02/2012 14:56

chunky have bought myself a shed load of pre conception vitamins too. No idea which ones are the best ones so have bought a few packs. Will be rattling around by the end of this.

Just worked out my next fertile period falls right in the middle of when DH is on nightshifts. Am going to have to ask him to take annual leave (can't DTD in the day as we have a DD who is 2.6 years old). This planning reduces the romance somewhat. It's either that or a quickie before he goes to work and after DD has gone to bed. Am disappointed that this type of planning isn't seen in movies more often..........Grin

knickyknocks · 24/02/2012 14:57

And hit post message before saying sorry Ruda. Will keep my fingers crossed that next time round will be your round.

asianbabe · 24/02/2012 15:52

Hi All

Can I also join. I have been lurking for a few months now finally plucked up the courage to join. Hoping this is a lucky flight for me!!!!!!

asianbabe TTC#3, Cycle 8, AF due 21.03.12

Can some clever person add me onto the list

Chunkychicken · 24/02/2012 16:03

knicky know what you mean about lack of spontaneity/planning involved, my DD is 22mths. She's pretty good at sleeping, but is in a toddler bed, so can sneak up on us!!!

Kind of glad you're going for #2 with that kind of age gap - felt like I was leaving it AGES after reading some posts on here!!! I didn't feel ready though, until a pg 'scare' made us re-evaluate & my broody hormones kicked in and we decided to try to move house first. Then, when that didn't happen (yet), we waited until the new year. I have 2 friends with a 13 mth & 18mth gap & wondered if I was the mad/unusual one for wanting to wait a bit...

Sod's law does of course dictate that I will now be trying to move house when pg or with a newborn!!!

Chunkychicken · 24/02/2012 16:06

Oh and hi asianbabe :)

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/02/2012 16:42

My DD is 2.2 and never thought I was leaving a long gap until a couple of friends got pregnant quite quickly after their first DC. I did go through a really broody stage when DD was 3-6 months but decided it was just hormones and to ride it out. Glad I did as although I am obviously now desperate for DC2 I did have a fab year last year with lots of hen do's and weddings that just wouldn't have been the same if pregnant. Am so ready for no 2 though, just hoping I don't have to wait much longer!

Oh we are also looking at moving soon too so could well end up in the same situation as you chunkychicken re moving whilst heavily pregnant or with a new born. My friend has a two week old DC2 and is moving house next week so will look to her for tips. One of them probably being ship the DC's off to the grandparents Smile

TuesdayNightClub · 24/02/2012 17:09

Hi folks, another passenger here! I recognise a few others from the superbus, how silly of us to get the bus when we were meant to be on this flight! AF arrived last night, so i'm onto cycle six. Six! Gah.

TuesdayNightClub TTC #1 Cycle 6 AF due 26/03/12

knickyknocks · 24/02/2012 17:19

chunky DD was a bad sleeper for a long time. We weren't ready to try for a baby before middle of last year. Had a m/c and a chemical pregnancy since then. Sometimes feel we might have pushed our luck too much by leaving it till we did to start trying. But really do think I couldn't have coped with a smaller age gap. That said I'm 40 next month so need to get a shifty on now. Hopefully this will be our flight!

Rosepip · 24/02/2012 20:42

Happily sat in my window seat and realised I'm not on the list either so have popped myself in under Cejay8 Wink

Evening ladies.

Had my day 2 blood test today. It all seems rather like admitting defeat to me. I can't get to the doctors until Friday and then I have to call on the Friday morning to get an appointment.
Oh well, at least my new 30 day cycle has given me more goes in a year.

TuesdayNightClub · 25/02/2012 12:48

Thanks French for updating.

I'm going to get some Vitamin B6 today to try to lengthen my 10day luteal phase. Anyone had any success with this?

cherrypiew3 · 25/02/2012 17:52

Hi Tuesday sorry AF got you.

I feel pretty rubbish today tummy really aches hope its not an early AF showing up. I have never been early in the past so holding onto the hope its implantation I have a cheap test and am wondering if I should POAS in the morning. Would a test show anything this early on not due until 3/3

Oh dear I promised myself I would not let TTC get to me like this.

TheNewMrsC · 25/02/2012 17:58

Hey everyone hi to all the new girls !! Smile

I'm laughing here reading your posts about age gaps - my DD is almost 7 !!!Blush

Anyway , how is everyone ??? I'm on 5dpo now (roughly as all my cycles are pretty much guesswork) and hoping to last at least until af is actually due before testing . How is everyone doing with the SWI ? Grin

knickyknocks · 25/02/2012 18:26

cherry you could try first response, though if you get a negative you'll only end up testing in a couple of days time. I know this is almost impossible, but if you can try and wait out another day or so. That said, if you really can't hold out, just do it. No point in stressing yourself out to the hilt. The 2ww is crap. Will keep my fingers crossed for a BFP for you.

MrsC SWI not started in earnest yet in the knickyknocks household. Things will really get going by the end of the week (TMI?!). Going to enjoy my book at bedtime and rest whilst I can Grin

TheNewMrsC · 25/02/2012 22:22

cherry if you ordered a few ultra sensitive eBay cheapies by the time you get them I think you might get a pretty true reading .

cherrypiew3 · 25/02/2012 22:41

Thanks Knicky and MrsC going to have a look on ebay and then try and hold out until wednesday yeah right . Do you think that will be long enough?
