Welcome aboard ladies.
Please be seated, you may undo your seatbelts as soon as you see the SWI sign light up.

I'll be coming round with cake, biscuits and wine.

Come on girls, we can do it this month.

Heads held high and legs akimbo, off we go.

Thanks will look into Vit B for next month. Two new things learnt on this thread already!

I don't have any tests and won't be able to buy any tomorrow so I guess I'll test on Weds if AF hasn't arrived by then.

MummyNickleby · 12/03/2012 22:49

Thanks pipbin, I use my phone for mn and can't access that bit normally Smile

I'm going to buy vit b and ovulation sticks next month. Time is of the essence as I'll be "old" in December.

Must get to GP / ring gynae as last AF was so bad that the pharmacist at Sainsburys wanted to call an ambulance when I staggered to her counter for pain relief Blush
So I might need another op for the endometriosis...
When I got pregnant with DS I was 1 month away from surgery... I'll do anything to avoid needles Wink

cherrypiew3 · 12/03/2012 23:24

Welcome LimeLeaf Smile

Congratulations to anyone with a BFP Chunky not you just yet though cause you have not tested yetWink

Well after a few days away sulking from mn I am ready to start all over again. We have a new plan this month DH has decided that we have to dtd when ever he says not when I think it is the right time. DH is always up for it so I am willing to give his plan a try. Who knows it might just work and if I am not thinking about it all the time I might just relax a bit also.

Chunkychicken · 13/03/2012 05:26

Morning all.

Guess what - I got a BFP this morning!!! What a surprise huh, blow me down with a feather... Not like I tested on Saturday or anything.Blush

Still a bit faint but it is only the day AF was due and it isn't a super sensitive one (Wilko cheapy dip stick at 20mIU) but heh, with the symptoms, the fact that it appeared well within the time and the day I'm feeling positive...
If it doesn't stick this month, I'm off the GP though, get it recorded on my notes etc.

Thanks for all the subterfuge & congratulations - didn't want to 'jinx' by acting like it was a foregone conclusion iyswim. Still nervous but it worked this month for now, so will be pleased for a while :)

Cherry nice to see you back & I think your DH's plan is a good one. They do say that you emit hormones to let your mate know you're 'on heat' so he might know the best time without 'your head' getting in the way, iykwim. Worth a shot though!!

Limeleaf how long have you been trying?

Panzee · 13/03/2012 07:18

Congratulations Chunky. Smile

PickledHegg · 13/03/2012 07:19

Whoo hoo! Congrats Chunky I just know you've got a sticky bean this month :) x

MummyNickleby · 13/03/2012 07:21

Congratulations Chunky that is wonderful (if not fully surprising) news!!! Grin

roxy31 · 13/03/2012 07:56

Congrats chunky really pleased for you, thats the hat trick!

So Sunday I thought af would show, however nothing yet, however temps are lower and bfn so being realistic I guess she will appear soon :(

Also I started taking epo this month along with pregnacare and heard it can extend the cycle by a day or so?

Just want to start afresh next month. Cherry I like the sound of your new plan, will see what DH thinks!

Good luck to everyone testing this week x

LimeLeafLizard · 13/03/2012 10:07

Fantastic, well done Chunky! Good to see BFPs on this thread.

Thanks for the welcomes...

How long have we been trying - well, SWI since the start of this year but this is the first cycle that we have properly timed it, so I am probably being ridiculous to be hopeful, esp as I am 36 so likely to take a while.

asianbabe · 13/03/2012 11:39

Congrats chunky well done. I've been fairly quiet on this flight too but I have been checking up daily. My AF is due on the 21st so got what seems like ages to go. Anyway good luck to anyone testing

PrimalChic · 13/03/2012 11:58

WOOHOO chunky!!! well done girl! After all the stress of the last couple of months, this month has been brilliant! So so pleased for you. :o

No sign of a temp increase here so poor DH will be dragged back to SWI again this evening! It's getting a little difficult. I did a lot of gardening at the weekend and can barely move. Now I understand why you never see a wobbly gardener!

Does anyone know why the No Comment smily is a biscuit?! I always thought it just meant "here, have a biscuit, you look like you need one"!

PandaWatch · 13/03/2012 12:49

Congrats Chunky that's great news!

Despite feeling super positive this month AF got me on Sunday night :( DH is away until the weekend which made things ten times worse and my Mum (second port of call after DH for sympathy as the only other person who knows we're ttc!) is also away so I ended up having a mini breakdown on the sofa and sobbed into my poor little dog's fur for ages! He was very supportive though :)

Time to pick myself up and brush myself down for next time. We're going to be away on holiday around mid-cycle this month so I'm hoping relaxing in the sunshine will help!

CandyPop · 13/03/2012 13:09

Official congrats to chunky!!!

panda - sorry to hear :( fingers cross for next month being the month!!

My update - AF is staying away -JUST. although I do think she is on her way Angry CD31 at the mo ...... Thinking of testing 2mo if AF isn't here yet or maybe not waste a stick and wait another day ..... Hmmmmm

Chunkychicken · 13/03/2012 13:15

Thank you everyone, am imaging superglue keeping it in there at the mo, so who knows??!!!

Roxy be careful with epo, I think I read on here somewhere that taking it after ovulation can cause problems... I'm sure you know what you're doing!!

Limeleaf that's not long (same as me) but very frustrating, even still. I would recommend having a go with the cheap OPKs and see if you can pinpoint ovulation a bit more and then it takes the pressure off the rest of the month, although adds pressure at the appropriate time. So... well, not sure which is worse, but with a not yet 2yo, we couldn't be at it all day, every day iykwim.

Make the most of it PrimalChic you might not feel much like it when pg Wink
And no idea about the biscuit thing!!

That sucks Pandawatch you poor thing :( A holiday is a great place to conceive. Try not to think about when you have to DTD, just relax & enjoy it & you never know!! :)

Asianbabe good luck with the wait.

LimeLeafLizard · 13/03/2012 13:30

I thought the biscuit was to tell someone to shut up, i.e. put something in their mouth to stop all the stupid opinions coming out. But maybe I have got this wrong.

Panda I know 3 sets of friends who conceived on holiday, perhaps it is just the chance to relax and be together with your OH. Hope it is your month next.

Thanks Chunky I will check out the OPKs. I know my cycle fairly well because I do the temperature charting but it would be interesting to compare my data with the OPK (never used one before).

Wish I knew all these things when we were TTC#2... might have made our wait shorter.

bettergetamoveon · 13/03/2012 14:31

Official congrat's Chunky.
Aw Panda, so sad for you. It's just so much hard work on the emotions isn't it, all this TTC malarky.

Roxy, you still have hope this month though, no sign of AF? Good luck.

I am now 5DPO and Af due on Friday. I keep willing my body to hold off until then at least before AF starts. No spotting yet, but i do have this weird pre-AF feeling that I'm trying to ignore. How can this (if there is anything) implant before AF shows, there's not enough time Sad

Crazytictac · 13/03/2012 15:39

Official congrats now chunky :), fab news! Hoping the same luck applies to roxy and candy. And well everybody here actually but you know what I mean!

Welcome limeleaf :)

primal, I thought perhaps it was along the lines of "it takes the biscuit" but think limeleaf's reasoning makes more sense on reading it!

panda I second what the others have said. Have heard so many times about people striking lucky on holidays. Doesn't help you feel any better this time though -have a un mums net hug from me.

better, fingers crossed for a no AF show on Friday or anytime for quite a while.

Not sure if I'm even on 2ww. I think I am as had a v faint line on the last of my opk sticks a week ago Sunday and seemed to have quite a bit of cm the same day but it only lasted a day and my cycles vary so wildly. No cm since then so think I'll test next Mon if my will power doesn't crack sooner (highly likely).

PrimalChic · 13/03/2012 18:02

I like it, "put a biscuit in it love". Might offer biscuits to people spouting rubbish at work :)

Had a massage after gardening yesterday so hoping all those relaxed feelings will help with the TTC this month... And I'm planning the garden around me not being able to move very much this summer. Lots of waist-height planting so I don't have to bend.

It amazes me that anyone conceives in this month, how can there be so many nov/dec babies when all we do is work and work and work up until year end?! I get a few more grey hairs every march.

Fingers crossed AF stays away for you ladies at the end of your 2WW, here's hoping some of chunky's luck rubs off on us this month!

Panzee · 13/03/2012 18:14

Got some spotting, I think this is it for this month. To be honest I didn't have high hopes. Must focus better for next month - although might be a Christmas baby then! Shock :o

TuesdayNightClub · 13/03/2012 18:47

Yay to chunky fab news.

And sorry to panda

I am feeling mightily sorry for myself today, no real reason just out of sorts. Annoyed at what I feel is a lack of effort from DH in the swi dept, I thought men were meant to be gagging for it all the time and particularly in fertile times.... Confused I feel like I'm carrying the burden of TTC while he sits around, waiting for me to jump his bones, and asking 'are u pg yet?' I love him dearly but he was sent to test me, I'm sure of it!

Anyway, I'm finally approaching ov so I'm going to snap out of it and try to enjoy the flight! Not for the journey but the destination!

better did u try b6 and do u think it has made a difference this month?

Good luck to all 2wwers and

TuesdayNightClub · 13/03/2012 18:48

Argh message cut off!

Good luck to all 2wwers and all others!

LimeLeafLizard · 13/03/2012 19:11

Panzee hope it is just a bit of spotting and doesn't develop further... see how it goes.

I am dreading going to the loo atm in case AF arrives. She's due late tonight / tomorrow.

Tuesday sorry you're feeling a bit fed up. I think it is a myth that men are always up for it, and I think the pressure of having to swi doesn't help. Can you ask him about it?

Pipbin · 13/03/2012 20:29

Congratulations Chunky!

Commiserations Panda. AF is a bitch isn't she.

OP posts:
TuesdayNightClub · 13/03/2012 20:56

limeleaf we have spoken about it but it isn't really resolved to my satisfaction, so to speak I blame dh's very stressful job... I'm sure it'll be fine, I would just hate to miss the window of opportunity as I have fairly long cycles.

TuesdayNightClub · 13/03/2012 20:56

Ps good luck and I hope AF doesn't arrive! Fingers crossed!
