BFPs... do you 'just know'?

I'm 34 and have been TTC #1 for a year with no success so far (just getting checked out by GP).

I've had a few months where I've really felt like I might be pregnant but my period is always bang on time... never got as far as testing. I'd like to think that I'm in tune with my body, but it's pulling the wool over my eyes, what with pregnancy symptoms being so similar to those I get before AF arrives.

The two week wait every month is torture - did you 'just know' you were pregnant the month you tested positive? Or did they all seem the same? I'm curious to know what you found...

My sister did, just had a gut instinct to test. I, on the other hand, pls you have had several cycles of being 'convinced' but it's been two years without....now I think I'll need to do multiple tests before I believe it!

I have had this. About 1/3 of the cycles we have been trying (16 now), I have felt like something was happening for a few days, but the feeling always went before AF arrived.

First one I was convinced I was pg desire getting a bfn on the day my af was due. Bfp the nest day.

Second pregnancy I tested early so was expecting a bfn but got a bfp.

Third one I was about to go to a ball and thought before I go and drink champagne and eat seafood I'd better just check. I had been trying to conceive for a year so wasn't really expecting it but there it was.

I didn't know when I was preg with my son. We were trying but had no clue. For me symptoms didn't kick in until 6 weeks (nausea, tiredness etc). We are now ttc no.2 and I am on tww... Boooooo! In the last few days I have been convinced I'm pregnant...... I feel I just am, I "know".... Been emotional, dull ache, tired, nauseous.
Probably wishful thinking!!!! Or a bug! Will be testing in a week or so & will update you then! :)

Thanks everyone... interesting to read everyone's experiences.

7 days until AF is due, and this month I've been feeling a little sick, hot and not quite right. However I'm trying not to get too excited as DH has been feeling the same so it's probably just a bug .

I will not be testing early as I am too tight to waste money on lots of tests have steely resolve - hope to update with happy news in the not too distant future!
