Miscarried on 7th January. Anyone know when I'm likely to get my af. Also, will it fall back into sync with my usual cycle? I usually get af around 24th of the month.

I miscarried (at 6 weeks) on the 20th December and got my af on the 15th Jan
I would normally come on at the end of the month so it has altered my cycle.

I miscarried on 3nd December and then AF arrived on 2nd Jan. It was different to any of my previous cycles in that it took a while to get going as I spotted for 3 days before heavy bleeding which lasted 6 days and then I spotted for another 10 days after that. I did have a previous miscarriage 2 years ago and everything pretty much went back to normal almost straight away. I guess it does vary with each individual.

Thanks everyone. I didn't really give this much thought before and tbh I'd love it to go back to how it was before. I don't like the idea of this miscarriage permanently changing me. Sorry for your losses too.

I can't remember how long it took before I had my first AF after m/c but it did take several cycles before they were back to `normal' (at which point I conceived again ). Good luck.

Sorry to hear of the losses,

mine took 4 weeks but as mygirl said it can take anything up to 6 wks although I have heard longer than this too... expecting I hope yours doesn't take too long x

So sad to hear about your losses. Have read some of your posts on m/c threads so know what you're going through

expectingsummerihope · 04/02/2006 17:09

firstnikki I think you're well wishes brought me good luck - came on two days ago. That's almost a month since the m/c and only a week later than my normal cycle. Feel so happy now it's arrived -can't explain how out of sorts it made me feel not knowing when af would arrive.

so pleased for you I understand the relief now you can make that next step forward and not have a waiting game.

Hi there, I miscarried on Friday 13th January, would have been normally due on 4th Feb but still nothing. It does make you feel very up and down. My partner and I have been at loggerheads recently and I am sure its all connected. So sorry for all your losses too. Lets hope for lots of good news for us all soon xxx

expectingsummerihope · 08/02/2006 23:38

When it arrives you feel you can start to get on with your life again. Hope it arrives soon.

I miscarried over Christmas, had ERPC 28th Dec but was bleeding from 24th. Scan showed foetus had died a few weeks before that so I wonder if the bleeding was af because of time involved. Had af 29th Jan and cycle before was 6 weeks, so waiting to see what happens. AF was much shorter than normal, only 2 days then completely stopped.

expectingsummerihope · 12/02/2006 21:03

Mine was different to usual af - dark brown to begin with, followed by one day of heavy red with painful cramps then 7 days of lightish bleeding. Strangely the dark brown stuff was the same as my very first af - weird! Sorry to hear of your loss Neli30 and MrsBilly and hope your cycles get back to normal soon.
