Short luteal phase

Wondering if anyone can shed any light on this. 4 out of my last 5 cycles have ranged from 21-25 days and I've noticed the luteal phase has been around 8 days.
I mentioned it to the consultant when I saw him a couple of weeks ago and he didn't really comment or make out it was a problem but a friend told me it was too short and I've just read that you can't get pregnant with a luteal phase of fewer than 10 days.

Has anyone else had any experience of this?

Thanks

But they can change it with medication. I have just done an entirely medicated IVF cycle. They can put you into any phase they want for as long as they want. Isn't Lupron for the luteal phase?

Try taking a high dose B-vit complex such as B50 or B100 (Holland and Barratt) until you get treatment. B vits have been shown to increase the luteal phase by supporting progesterone production. Worth a try, they're inexpensive and safe.

I've been spotting from 7po for the last 6mths or so, took B50 for the first time this month and got a BFP about 20mins ago Grin

Good luck, short luteal phase really is treatable though so I wouldn't worry yet
