We all know that the 'ideal' is 28 days, but how many of us actually have that?

Mine are 34 / 36 days.

Mine vary between 29 - 33 days, normally

beangrower · 16/02/2012 16:28

I've noticed that it can depend on which side I'm ov'ing from though the last two have been only 25 days. Would you prefer shorter or longer?!

Imps7 · 16/02/2012 16:37

My LP is 13/14 days and I usually ovulate on CD 19, but last cycle it was CD 16 and the one before that it was CD 20. So, cycle length is anywhere between 29 days and 34 days!

Pipbin · 16/02/2012 17:09

I'd rather shorter bean. More chances in a year.

I completely agree pipbin 33 days can really drag - but at the same time I think we should just be grateful we have regular, consistent cycles and no complications?

pchick · 16/02/2012 17:28

25-28 days

AnEcumenicalMatter · 16/02/2012 17:29

24-25 days

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 16/02/2012 18:21

Mine can be anything from 23-77!!

Northey · 16/02/2012 18:23

26-100...

Pipbin · 16/02/2012 18:23

Very true popcornmouse. A tedious 35 day cycle is better than an irregular one.

floatinglotus · 16/02/2012 18:24

27-29 days, with the odd 25 or 31 day cycle once or twice a year.

SweetieDoesIt · 16/02/2012 18:28

Mine are mostly 25 days, longest ever was 31 days.

beangrower · 16/02/2012 19:41

Sweetie - you and I seem to follow a v similar pattern! I suppose shorter gives you more chances to conceive but also more AFs to piss you off and make you paranoid about not getting a bun in the oven! But yes - we're lucky they don't go on forever. 77-100 days sounds like a killer. Boo to that for a couple of posters here!

42-45 days normally, but at times it's ranged from 39 to 78 days.

Pipbin · 16/02/2012 21:35

So far we have hardly anyone with a 28 day cycle.
I only bring it up because I was at the doctors today and she was sending me off for 21 day bloods and I had to explain that I have a 35 day cycle and thsi seemed to confuse her somewhat.

OP posts:
philbee · 16/02/2012 21:39

Mine tend to be 28 days. Sometimes 27, occasionally 26. But I found out last cycle that I dont ovulate until CD18, so even having a bog standard cycle length is no guarantee of having any idea of ovulation date!

Squirrel77 · 16/02/2012 21:41

Mine have been getting longer - the last three were 34, 35 then 36 days. I went to the GP this week who is going to run some blood tests as she thinks it could be an indication of a hormonal imbalance which might affect TTC. Hope that helps!

Squirrel77 · 16/02/2012 21:44

PS - the GP said that I should do the 'day 21' blood test 7 DPO - for me, probably day 31. The results will be inaccurate if you have a long cycle and do it on day 21. I usually haven't even ovulated by then!

Pipbin · 16/02/2012 22:51

We came to the agreement that the bloods would actually be day 28.

The odd thing is that is is a friend of mine who works in the pathology lab who might end up testing them. He's not a close friend and has no idea we are TTC.

I was a regular as clock work 28 day-er, but now after 2 babies I am more like 33-35 days. Its a bit odd, and I have to remind myself that my cycle is longer now, otherwise every so often I freak out that I am 'late' when I'm really not at all Blush

winkle2 · 17/02/2012 14:57

The past 5 months have been:

33
34
32
32

Last month was 27 so I thought I was finally getting a 'normal cycle but then didn't get a positive on an OV stick till CD 18 this month!

farfallarocks · 17/02/2012 15:05

Gps get really confused by day 21 tests, I really don't know why, perhaps it should be called 7dpo tests!

Mine vary between 24-27 days

inmysparetime · 17/02/2012 15:11

Mine are 21-24 days, a bit annoying really, as I need a smear test, and by the time I'm decently off and it then takes a week or so for a non-emergency appointment, I'm pretty much on againSad

Pipbin · 17/02/2012 15:17

21 to 24 days! That is tiny wee. You must need to be DTD the minute your period finishes.
