Ooh I'm bloody symptom spotting, I promised myself not to do this again

I'm about 9 dpo today and I've been spotting symptoms like nobodys business.

  • Weird occassional cramping
  • Feeling of fullness in uterus
  • Weird burning/tingling in bbs (very subtle so might not have noticed if not looking, feels a bit like milk let-down)
  • Fuller bbs (normal post-o for me sometimes though)
  • creamy white CM
  • a sodding cold (sounds like a weird thing to note but I just had one a fortnight ago and I normally rarely catch colds (every couple of years). This can be an early sign for some as immune system suppressed for implantation)
  • vivid dreams
  • fatigue but really restless sleep

Don't even know why I'm writing the thread, think I just want to write it down to get it out of my system iykwim, I'm not normally a very obsessive thinker.

Oh and the big one (almost forgot) - I have absolutely no signs of starting spotting. Since having DS1 I have always started spotting on CD21 until AF. CD21 today and not even a hint yet (I o'd a couple of days early this month). I'm taking it as a positive sign although did start taking B50 this month so could just be a result of that.

Please just tell me to step away from the hpts and put it out of my mind for a few days

step away from the hpts... and forget about it all until its time because you meantioning all this is making me think ooh i have that too and argghh it won't do you any good.

WeeLors · 16/02/2012 12:03

Sorry for getting your mind racing too Mrs Twinks Grin.

Off out now with DS to meet friends for a gossip. None of them know we're ttc so at least that will distract me for a few hours (I'm glad they don't know cos if they did I know the whole conversation would be a dissection of my 'symptoms' Smile)

Same for me QT, just felt like really strong PMS the first time I was pregnant but it was unplanned so I just assumed AF was on her way.

Actually trying this time is driving me mad, the 2ww is horrible!!

I started spotting yesterday Sad at 10dpo. I know it could still go either way though so I'll keep my hopes up unless AF makes an appearance in the next few days. Still getting weird feelings in my bbs etc though so hoping the spottings not a bad sign.

Hey WeeLors, got my fingers crossed for you. Hope you enjoy your day out with friends. The best thing about not telling people your TTC is that hanging with them really does take your mind off things.

Step away from the HPT (as requested). It'll all become clear soon and the money saved by not buying one can go towards something lovely for you.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 18/02/2012 16:39

Spotting between periods should always be investigated further to ascertain the cause.

Has the cause of the spotting ever been determined?.

You will need to be persistant in order to get answers. Its too easy to be fobbed off.

WeeLors · 18/02/2012 18:29

Thanks Hearty Grin

Attila - yep, its getting investigated just now but tbh my gp seems to know less about the reproductive cycle than I do so thinking of switching gps. I've only had it since my periods started back after having DS (it started while still Bfing so assummed it was something to do with that but he's been weaned a year now....). Definately something thats gone amiss since 1st pregnancy.

Spotting started getting redder about an hour ago, me thinks AF is on her way Sad. Pretty short cycle this month if so (23 days) but ov'd a few days early this month so not too surprised. Still holding out a smidge of hope but think it unlikely that this is my month - Grrrr!!!

WeeLors · 19/02/2012 09:14

Oh my body is so confusing right now. After posting yesterday about the spotting getting redder, the next time I went to the loo it was back to just being a tiny bit of brown and this morning I've hardly had anything.

Sooo, no AF yet Smile. I'll not get my hopes up but not completely given up hope either.

BFP BFP BFP!!!!! Grin Grin

Wasn't going to test until I had missed my period but when the spotting tailed off after a day and I was still getting AF cramps but no AF.....

So happy, I thought my premenstrual spotting was going to be a problem. I wonder if it was taking B50 this month that did the trick.

OMG! Congratulations! You're having a baby! Yaaaay! :)

WeeLors · 20/02/2012 10:33

I know, yaaay!! I just text DP a photo of the positive test with congratulations daddy written underneath. Was far too impatient to wait til he got home and didn't want to phone him at the office. I'm expecting a phone call at lunchtime when he checks his phone Grin

GTbaby · 21/02/2012 22:18

now i'm going crazy symptom spotting.

so happy for you weelors!

WeeLors · 22/02/2012 09:58

Prolific - B50 is a B-vit complex that contains 50mg of each B-vit (except for folic acid and one other, can't remember which one). Anyway, B-vits are supposed to be good for reducing spotting and lengthening luteal phase. I didn't have a prob with luteal length but got a lot of spotting. First month taking them and got a BFP so they def get a thumbs up from me. Don't know if the spotting I got this month was just a reduced level of my usual spotting or an implantation bleed but I'm happy regardless Grin

Windmill10 · 23/02/2012 11:54

Hi WeeLors BIG FAT CONGRATULATIONS!!! Smile

I too am on the 2ww and seriously symptom spotting - all advice would be greatfully received from any ladies in the same boat!!

I am on cycle 6, TTC#2, cd22, 8dpo (i think, bit unsure whether to start counting from day of ovulation or day after???)

I am a self confessed POAS addict - I have already done 4 internet cheapies since 3dpo........obviously all BFN!!! Blush

Symptoms so far have been: cramping and heavy feeling in my womb for 4 days which started on 3dpo and stopped on 7dpo - feelings of nausea for the last 4-5 days, feeling really empty in my tummy even after eating - dry mouth..........any advice would be great - pos or neg as I really am going insane and need a reality check!! Hmm

AF not due till at least Tuesday........CB Digi waiting in the bathroom cabinet - when should I test??!! Wink

WeeLors · 23/02/2012 13:22

Ooh I remember that feeling, I forced myself not to test too early this month though cos I just 'felt' pregnant and didn't want to be disappointed if it came out negative early on, would've driven me crazy!!

Symptoms sound promising to me, do you feel different to other ttc months? I'm afraid its just a waiting game now.....

OP posts:
Windmill10 · 23/02/2012 22:14

Thanks for replying Smile

I can't help POAS - they are there so I will use them but only the cheapo ones!! I just feel quite positive about it until AF arrives then go on a downer for a few days just in time to pick myself back up to DTD Smile

I'm not sure if I do or not.........I had an early MC at xmas, hadn't even known I was pgt as was having tests for PCOS so didn't really have my eye on the ball - looking back shortly afterwards though I remember moaning about feeling sick on and off all the way upto xmas - but didn't think you feel that sick that early Confused

I keep hearing about sore bbs but so far nothing.......even after excessive jiggling Grin

Think I will try and hold off testing again until sunday which will make me 11dpo Smile
