TTC + man flu

This could easily sit in the AIBU topic...

Am I unreasonable in expecting DH to DTD while he is suffering from a severe case of man flu?

Let me put this into context. I miscarried in January and tomorrow I would have been been 12 weeks preg. We are keen to try again asap but I don't think he 'gets' how important the timing is of the all-important green light from the wee stick.

I have been testing with ov kits and Tonight Is The Night. But DH has announced he's having none of it and he's taken himself and his Lemsip off to the spare room declaring that we'll try next month. But getting preg again, and quickly, is so important to be as I just want to make up for lost time.

Should he be ignoring his bunged up sinuses to jump on this opportunity (and me) or are my expectations too high?

Reality check please. Man flu sufferers need not apply.

Sorry hear about your mc.

I'm in the same situation in that we are ttc and this week is a really good time.

DH has man flu but I wouldn't dream of dtd with someone who is ill - imagine how you would feel if he insisted you have sex if you were ill. It's a bit wrong and yuk tbh!

Give him peace until next month.

Sorry to hear about your misc. my DH has the opposite effect when he is poorly, he insists dtd makes him feel better! Sorry I know that's not much help, but I don't think yabu to ask him Smile

Thank you mummysfirsttime, I was feeling very, very upset when I posted that and just needed someone to tell me I wasn't completely out of my mind. Dealing with the mc has been very hard, and both my DH and I were very hopeful to get pg again as soon as possible. So the timing of ov at the very day I should have been 12 weeks, alongside DH being poorly, was a little too much to bear!

Anyway, the good news is DH felt a bit better the next day Wink so who knows... after the dreaded 2ww there might be some good news on its way. Fingers crossed.
