TTC straight after MC at 5 wks 6 days...when should I be ovulating??

Hello, any advice please - I had a MC which started on Sat 28 Jan. I bled for 1 week and then it was over. No procedure or intervention required. We want to try again straight away, so I am peeing on those ovulation tests every day, but so far no sign of the hormone surge that preceeds ovulation.

If the day I started bleeding with the miscarriage was day 1 of this cycle, I am now at day 17 of my cycle....is it normal to ovulate a bit later than normal after a MC? I am pretty sure I normally ovulate around day 15.

Is it possible that my body might skip a month, and not ovulate at all, post-MC?

Grrr, feel really frustrated, just want to crack on with trying ASAP and all this waiting is killing me. Also might be killing the DH, as I keep making him have sex with me (i know, poor bloke), in case the lisst red line appears the next day...i've heard it's good to get some swimmers in the bank, as it were. So he is knackered! But still no definite pink line...it's there, but very faintly :-/

Anyone else had this?

Thanks x

danger firstly very sorry about your MC, I know what it feels like to be so very desperate to get preggers again. I MC very similar stage to you in June and ovulated as normal the next cycle but a few days later, 4/5 from memory (did not get preggers though) I think it can take a while for things to settle down post MC, have you had a BFN?

No harm in continuing the SWI if you feel like it, every other day is also ok but don't worry if it takes a while for things to settle down.

Thanks farfallarocks - hoping like you that things are just set back a few days. Although obvs trying not to get too het up about conceiving right away, I know it's unlikely, but I can't help but hope a little bit :-/

I had a BFN the day after the bleeding started (so over two weeks ago now) - which is how I knew I was definitely miscarrying. Was pretty harsh to find out like that in my own bathroom, having had a BFP just 9 days previously...esp as it was one of those digital tests so it just said: 'not pregnant' :(

Was confirmed the day afterwards at the EPU. it's just been a really shitty start to 2012 :(

Think I am going to try to put things like ovulation dates out of my mind and just keep on SWI, maybe giving the old guy a rest every other day ;)

Thanks again.
