I've found some EWCM (I think)

I think I've found some EWCM. I've been feeling wetter down there for the past couple of days and today when I wipe the CM is stretchy a couple of cm when I pull the tissue apart. (Apologies for TMI).

Does this mean I have ovulated or am about to ovulate? Should I be shagging furiously for the next few days or until it stops or what?!

I'm on Day 16 of a cycle that has ranged from 27-34 days since I started taking notice of these things! (About 5 months)

I have never ever found any EWCM, but have got pregnant several times previously (all ended in mc's though), so I asked my consultant about it, and she said that not all women will notice EWCM, some just get a more kind of 'watery' mucus apparently

Sorry, forgot to add, that is does usually indicate ovulation, so go for it SWI to your hearts content - it can't hurt.

I get stacks of EWCM. However I get it for the 6 days up to OV. Once OV has happened it stops. As far as I understand this is what it is for. It's for the sperm to live in while they wait for the egg.

Have loads of sex is the best option.

Hubby says hes too tired grrrrrr.

But we DTD last night and planning on DTD tomorrow too so hopefully we'll catch it.

If you search on fertility friend for people who DTD every day of their fertile period you get 40% pregnancy.
If you search every other, day before and day after OV, then it's 39%.
Every other day, day of Ov and two days before OV then its 40%.
Doesn't seem to make that much difference.

I got so frustrated with my DH who was to tired to DTD every night but this made me feel happier about it.

I thought if you DTD every day then the man didn't have enough time to make "good" mature sperm (as in good enough to fertilise an egg), and that every other day was the way to go.

We have been DTD every other day from when my period stops to when my mucus is dry, which can be a lot of sex, I don't think he'd cope with everyday - well, he'd cope, but he'd certainly moan that I only want him for his sperm!

Luckily hubby was up for it so we DTD last night :)
