Bilateral Endometriomas

I've just had an ultrasound scan and have been diagnosed with bilateral endometriomas-7cm on left ovary and 3cm on the right. Trying for first baby and have now been referred to a gynaecologist. Does anyone else have any experience of this and can offer any advice? Thanks.

I had this, though ine couldn't be diagnosed with ultrasound... Apparently often the only way to tell is by going in to look. That is what they did with a laparoscopy-and-dye, they found masses of endonetriosis on both sides, and they removed it then, under the general anaethetic. I conceived then the first month of trying. A bit of a shock... We hadnt tried before and expected itto take ages! Lots of anecdotal and some research evidence online talks about lap-and-dye enhancing conception rates. So in the end it actually seemed to help, us anyway.

I hope that the doctors can help you with it too. Best wishes!

Thank you for your response- that gives me encouragement. My GP couldn't confirm what the gynae would probably do but expecting lap and dye. Best wishes to you.
