This is my 1st post here so a bit new to all this. DH and I have been ttc no2 since new year and I am slap bang in the middle of my cycle. I have been having hideous cramps all day, horrible dragging pain going down into my legs, similar to really bad period pains. I've also had some spotting today. What could this be? I've googled it and some sites have suggested it could be ovulation bleeding? I've never heard of this before and have never had it before as far as I can remember. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance.

It could be a range of things. If it's happening monthly, it could be uterine polyps bleeding (which are easily diagnosed and removed in an operation like a D&C). It could be ovulation spotting, but your best bet is to go to a GP or OBGYN and get it checked out. (I have had this in the past before children, and it was polyps.) SInce they were removed, no more trouble.

Thanks groveromy. This is the first time I've had these symptoms so not happening every month (or hasn't yet?). Wasn't sure of it was worth going tothe GP about but I think since I desperately want another child I should probably take care of my womby bits and get it checked out just in case. Thanks Smile
