Can anyone give me a bit of inspiration / nudging?
Have a DD 10 months.
Really hope I have time to have another DC before its too late.( well into declining fertility years!)
Took a while first time so need to be prepared that may be the case again.
Logically it makes sense to get cracking ... But when I think back to how all consuming it became last time I am really struggling to get the emotional energy.

But it's what DH and I want more than anything else.

Sounds stupid doesn't it ? Why can't I get started.?

Need to -
Stop bf first to get AF back ( I hope!)
Sort out my body / fitness a bit- definitely lose some weight
Make a bit more effort on the sex front
Less reliance on wine/ caffeine and cakes!!

Anyone else felt like this? WWYD in my shoes?

Hi, I also have DD nearly 10 months and am 35 which I am told is in the declining childbearing years.......DD came along in 1st month of trying but I still want no 2 asap as not getting any younger. I think you should go for it. I wasn't able to bf but AF only just got properly back to normal now. Good luck! :0

No idea if this will help.

I was 40 when I had DS (unplanned and unexpected but very welcome). Decided to start TTC when he turned one, that was June 2009.

I had 3 MMCs around the 12 week mark (Sept 09, Feb 10, August 10). After tests all come back fine, started to TTC again. Had one ChemPg (maybe a couple more, but never test early) in the next 12 months. Got a BFP last week, am 5+1 today, am counting no chickens with my age and history all against me. Am 44 at the end of the month.

In your shoes I wouldn't delay, for the reasons you've raised... they're not significant enough. You can do them en route as it were... i got periods back when I was still bf, and whilst I know it makes it harder to TTC before you get the cycle back on track, you could still get pregnant...?

Good luck.

Thanks both and sorry for slow reply - have had a lovely tummy bug from DD.
I think I knew the right answer and was being a bit over analytical ... It's a bit like all the excuses I am good at making before going on a diet!
Wish you both luck - Jollster sounds like you have had exactly the rough ride I am nervous about but fingers crossed you will get the positive outcome this time.

Yes, jollster I really pray you have a healthy baby this time, you have had a really tough time how awful to have so many miscarriages. My Mum had me at 41 lots of women over 40 have very healthy pregnancies - good luck.
