I thought the normal blood test was a 2Day 21" test: ie 21 days after the start of your last period.

If your cycle is shorter, then the test should be that many days earlier. For example, I used to have a 26 day cycle (rather than a 28 day cycle): therefore my Day 21 test was actually done on Day 19.

Now that my cycle is 24 days, it would need to be done on Day 17.

I didn't have to do the later test during my period. Not sure what that tells you - but I am sure someone else wwill let you know!

Have had lots of blood tests for ovulation done.

The day 3 is a standard test to measure your LH and FSH levels. Ideally these two should be the same; if the level of LH is higher than FSH then this can be indicative of hormonal imbalances which can affect ovulation.

Day 10 and day 21 are also standard tests; the day 21 is used to measure progesterone levels.

Such tests are often repeated.

Is your GP going to refer you depending on the results?.
