Is ovulating on day 16/17/18 likely in a 28ish day cycle?

Just need a bit of ov test advice please. Am using the cheapie Amazon tests, and started a new batch yesterday. I had a bit of a shadow line on Tue, but think it wasn't for real as it came out some time later on. Yesterday and today (days 16 and 17) I've had fairly strong lines to say the hormone or whatever is up. So this means I am ovulating about day 17/18, is that right? Is that likely? My cycle's fairly consistently 27-29 days and until I started the testing we'd focused (ahem) on days 7-14 really, as I thought it was all about day 14.

Perhaps you ovulate later than "norm" in the cycle Smile get on it !!

Is it likely to be that late? We are trying for every other day, as every day just unmanageable really. It's an eye opener, all this weeing and dipping!

When TTC our DS it took a while to realise that I ov'ed at day 18 in a 28 day cycle. In fact it was the month that we kept [ahem] going later in the month that I got my BFP!

Yes, normal!

A luteal phase (the bit between ovulation and your period) is normally between 10 and 16 days so it would not be unusual.

Yep that could be the case !
