Silly question about ovulation sticks

Hi all, i have a silly question about peeing and ovulation sticks! I've just received a pack of 30 cheapy ovulation tests from Amazon and plan to start using them this cycle, so i was reading the instructions in preparation, I guess I am over analysing it but how do you make sure you don't drink too much that your urine is too dilute while at the same time making sure you do the test at around the same time each day? Blush

I have always been a big drinker (of water that is) I drink quite a lot while I am at work to make sure i get my 2L a day. The instructions say to decrease fluid intake for 2 hours before the test so yesterday, as a practice run, I stopped drinking at 15:30 but my wee still looked quite dilute when i went for a pee when I got home from work at about 17:45.....Am I just being stupid and thinking about this too much Confused

I think you are worrying too much. I aim to do mine between 2-3pm and not have gone for a wee for about 3hrs beforehand. I have always got a clear positive at teh relevant time with that method. I drink quite a bit too.

I've been using these. I did it the same time every night, and left about 3-4 hours between a drink and PO them. So I'd do them when I got home from work, which seemed to help pass those few hours without water.

My major issue was a lack of confidence with the whole "a line darker as dark or darker than the control" line. I didn't have the confidence to gauge if the blasted test line was as dark or darker!

Gah.

But I did loads in the days I knew I definitely was NOT ovulating, so I could see what a negative looked like. They were barely there lines and then suddenly, for two days, two massively dark lines. Then back to barely there faintness again. I can only assume, despite my need for absolutes, that those two dark lines were in fact positives :)
