First period after lap and dye is HUGE - is this normal?

I'm after any post lap and dye period advice. This is my first one after my lap and dye and it stared a day early with wierd light spotting and now it is quite painful, clotty and very heavy (which is very unlike me.)

I normally have a morning of moderate bleeding on my period and then it's pretty light for a couple of days. So I've never had this kind of bleeding. Since this morning at 7.00am, I am changing soaked tampons (albeit regulars, as I don't normally buy/need supers) every 30 mins. (sorry for tmi)

Is this normal?? Please share your experiences. I have also just had a couple of rounds of clomid (I am having 2 months off though as it made me mental.) Could that be contributing to period from hell too?

Were you given a follow up appt say a week or so after the lap to discuss the findings of this op?. If not, this is poor practice.

What did they find during the lap, any endometriosis for instance. A lap is normally done when endometriosis is suspected.

I would be speaking to the hospital who performed this op asap and seek their advice as any change outside of your normal menstrual cycle should be reported.

Thanks for the reply. No - they discussed the findings with me after the op though. I don't have endo, it was for a suspected blocked tube, which I don't have. The tube was found to be missing completely and the ovary on that side (congential).

I had a follow up booked for early march, but brought it forward to mid Feb, as I wanted to discuss something that was brought up at a recent scan that I had, so will mention this heavy period then. Unless Attila, you really think I need to tell them earlier?

I am wondering if the cocktail of clomid, chinese herbal tea, acupunture and being prodded about in there, is taking it's toll!
