I had the mirena put in over 4/5 months ago all has been well. I have had the bleeding for the first 3 months but all has cleared up and have been going about life as norm with the odd spotting. for the last 2 weeks i have been getting very sleepy in the middle of the day and have been getting some very very wierd dreams (you the one you have when you are pg and you wake up going what the...)

I have 2 chhildren already and these were the only signs that i was pg with them. So my question is can you get pg with the mirena?

I think it's supposed to be more effective than the Pill as no user error to be factored in. There is always a margin of unreliability with every method save for abstinence.

Having said that the hormones in the Mirena are essentially mimicking a pregnancy and I found that I reacted in a very similar way to pregnancy when I had mine. (apart from the no periods or pregnancy aspect I can honestly say that I hated the effing thing). So had sore breasts etc and baby brain the whole time I had it. Also put on a lot of weight (2 st) which 8 years after having it removed I'm still trying to shift. But that's another story entirely.

i think that there might be a tiny tiny chance, but also a chance that it can come out, again, very very small, i'd recommend that you check your threads, if you can't find them (sometimes they can be coiled very tight up around the cervix) go see GP or family planning and tell them what's going on.
