First month of clomid didn't work. Someone cheer me up.

So Clomid 50 didn't work. Please stop me thinking that I'm doomed.

You're not doomed! If it makes you feel any better My first month didn't work either, it was my second or third month that did. My wee clomid baby is 8 now! Sorry it's hard to remember now exactly how many I took but I think I got 3 months worth of tablets.

You're not doomed! Did you just get a BFN or did it not make you ovulate at all? With DS1, I had 50mg and was successful on my 3rd cycle. Now my body is becoming resistant to it, it would seem - 50mg and 100mg no longer work so am waiting to see whether 150mg has worked.

Didn't make me ovulate at all. I had a scan that showed a follicle responding nicely and by the next scan it had shrunk back and nothing had happened.

They will increase the dosage (up to a max of 150mg, maybe 200mg), so hopefully next month, if you do a cycle of 100mg that will work. I, however, will be doomed if my cycle of 150mg doesn't work as I am not entitled to any further help - I haven't had any follicle tracking to help me. :( Best of luck for next month!

50mg didn't work for me. On 100mg this month and just got my progesterone test back - a whopping 67 so definite ovulation. 50mg doesn't work for everyone and I know it's massively disappointing but don't lose heart x

Flick I can try to reassure you, my first clomid dose didn't work, but the next round did now 9 months pregnant.

I know telling you to keep positive is easy to say, especially when life's in limbo, but keep on at the hospital until you get the dosage level and treatments you need!

Don't be downhearted - first time round it did nothing for me and I gave up. Subsequently tried it again - 2 month resulted in DS1 (now 6), and then another time resulted in DS2 (now 4). I know it's hard to keep feeling upbeat, but you can do it! :)

Well, it didn't quite work, but it did nearly work (i.e. I had a period and one follicle did get started) so the doctors have put me on 100 for this month. Fingers crossed. If that doesn't get me ovulating then they want me to move on to the injections.

My first month at 50mg didn't work either. Nor did the second month at 50mg.

But the first month at 100mg did and I got my first BFP on wednesday.

Well, finger crossed, but so far 100 seems to be working. One good sized follicle and I did the injection today. It's silly, but I'll be happy just to ovulate even if then nothing happens.

Have definitely ovulated, but now it looks like my period is starting. Getting there, I suppose.

My first go hasn't worked either (well, I ovulated, but didn't get pregnant!) :( you're not alone. But just as the best people pass their driving test second time around, theres always the second month!

How's everyone doing on clomid? I'm on my second month of clomid now and god knows how but I managed to forget about the night sweats! Had them last month for about 2 weeks after taking the clomid, just waking up in pools of sweat. And I forgot so was surprised by it this time! Clomid does funny things to you. lets hope its worth it this month!

Hi everyone, im on my 3rd month of clomid 50mg now slowly losing hope too :(

I'm my.3rd month of Clomid, two failures, and now I'm getting cramps so it looks like third has failed also! Sat and cried yesterday to Garth Brooks' song Mom! Feels like god has forgotten about me! Doctor says I can have I'm eligible for IVF before i turn 40 next year! I'm scared that will fail too!

My first month on clomid 50mg has failed. I didn’t even ovulate and my progesterone blood test came back 2! I’m gutted but reassured by all your stories above.
