What to ask the GP!!?!?!

Hi Ladies!!

I need some help and advice; I have PCOS but I think I actually managed to ovulate on my own this month, confirmed by Watery/EWCM (which I never get) and high temps on FF. My chart ishere if anyone wants to have a gander.

I had some spotting around the time AF would have been due ? this spotting was very light in nature, dark/light brown and occasionally pink (with 2 occurrences of bright red dots) , but only up near my cervix and when I wiped, never anything on my underwear. This last for approximately 4 days and there has been nothing since. I thought I had 2 very faint BFP?s last week but since then they have all been BFN?s. I am now 23dpo and I am considering making an appointment with my GP.

Because of my history of PCOS and with only having potential ov confirmed by temping, what should I be asking the GP? Should I ask for blood tests? Does anyone actually think I could be pg (I have lost all hope and think the spotting was just a weird period)? Or is this more wishful thinking? Surely a hpt would have picked something up by now!?!?

I am at my wits end with this. I have been to see my Gynaecologist (Jan 3rd) and am waiting on an appointment to come through for a HSG before he will put me on Clomid.

Any advice/help/guidance would be great!! :)

I would be tempted to say there's some ambiguity with your HPTs and that AF hasn't come, and see if they'll do a blood test?

Looking at your chart, I'm not sure it does clearly show ovulation. Your temps are still quite low. For example, my post ovulation temps are between 36.5 and 36.9 a clear jump from my pre ovulation temps that are consistently below 36.2. If you were pregnant, I would have thought that temps would be much higher than yours. Also, if you ovulated as early as CD8 then you should be getting a clear BFP by now. Sorry, I realise I sound negative and I'm no expert on charts. I hope I'm wrong and you get a good result. Good luck!

Thanks ladies.

mrsden I am inclined to agree with you; I am not convinced that I ovulated either. It's just that my cycles are anything from 57 - 77 days long, so to get spotting that early on seemed to indicate that something else was going on.

I don't really want to waste my GP's time. I don't know whether to start a new cycle from CD 23, even though I never really has a proper period and I also don't want to miss out on this cycle just in case my body does decide to actually lay an egg!
